Chapter 3 - An Unexpected Visit

I woke up the next morning, feeling refreshed.  The sun was shining through my window.  It was going to be a beautiful day.  I looked over at my clock.  It said 9:30am.

"Time to get up"  I said to myself.

I got up out of my bed, and walked into the bathroom.  Then, I heard a voice call my name.  It was my dad. 

"Jessy!  You up?" My dad called.

"Yes dad, good morning"  I called back

"Good morning"  My dad called back to me.

I turned on the shower, and climbed in.  When I was done showering, I turned off the shower and climbed out.  I grabbed a towel and began to dry off.  Then, I ran into my bedroom, and started to get dressed.  The outfit that I chose was a t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers.  After getting dressed, I went into the living room, to which my dad was putting his Iron Man suit on.

"Morning sweetie" My dad greeted 

"Morning dad" I greeted.

"I have to go meet up with the Avengers, and handle a few things.  I'll be back later"  My dad said.

"Alright"  I said.

My dad finished putting on his suit.  He flew off of the balcony. After he was gone, I went into the kitchen and made myself some breakfast.  Then, I sat down at the table, and started to eat.  The sun was shining into the living room, through the big window.  It made the room look bright.  When I finished eating, I stood up from the table, and put my plate in the sink. 

"Jarvis, what is the weather for today?"  I asked.

"The weather is sunny at eighty degrees, no chance of rain today"  Jarvis said.

"Thank you"  I replied.

Then, I heard a knock at the front door.  I walked up to the door, and opened it.  There stood Steve.  I was surprised to him.

"Hey Jessy" Steve said.

"Hey Steve, come on in"  I said.

Steve came inside, and I closed the door behind him.  I couldn't believe that Steve was in my house, to which I was really surprised.

"So, where's your dad?"  Steve asked me.

"He went to go meet up with you and the Avengers,  you guys had to handle a situation or something"  I said.

"Oh, so did he say when he was meeting up with us?" Steve asked.

"No, he didn't"  I said.

Steve stood there for a minute.  It was awkwardly silent in the room.  

"Hey, about last night...." Steve began to say.

"What do you mean?"  I asked.

"I was just thinking about things, between you and me"  Steve said.

"Oh, it's cool Steve"  I said.

Steve came up and hugged me.  I hugged him back. 

"I guess I'd better go, your dad is probably looking for me"  Steve said.

"Okay, hey, call me tonight please"  I said.

"Of course"  Steve said.

Steve left through the front door.  I wished he didn't leave, because I wanted to know what he meant, by what he said.

All of the sudden,  I looked over at the window, and noticed that there was a flying object outside.  It was sitting outside, on the front balcony.  It was a flying contraption, with a person sitting on it.  The person was staring at me.  I didn't know what to do.
