Chapter 2 - The Meeting

My dad and I arrived at SHIELD.  We got out of the car and walked inside. When we reached the inside of the building, there stood Phil Coulson, one of the head agents of SHIELD. 

"Mr. Stark"  Agent Coulson greeted.

"Coulson" My dad greeted him. 

"Jessy" Agent Coulson greeted me.

"Mr. Coulson" I greeted back. 

We headed into an elevator and headed up to the top floor. I began to look around in the elevator, to which I was curious about the meeting.  We arrived at the top floor.  The elevator stopped and we walked out. 

There stood a door that said "Meeting in Progress" on it. We walked into the meeting room. Everyone was there:  Thor, Steve Rogers (Captain America), Bruce Banner (Hulk), Nick Fury, Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow), and Clint Barton (Hawkeye). 

"Hey guys" My dad greeted them.

"Hey" The Avengers greeted my dad.

"Hey Jessy" Captain America greeted me.

"Hey Steve, I mean, Captain America" I greeted him.

"Oh, you can call me Steve, if you like to" He said.

"Okay" I said.

"Hi, Miss Jessy" Thor greeted.

"Hey Thor" I greeted.

Everyone else greeted me, and I greeted back to them. My dad walked over to the meeting table and sat down.

"Alright, let's get this meeting started" Agent Coulson said. 

The Avengers all sat down at the table.  I just stood there with nothing to do.

"Uh, Jessy, why don't you go in my office?" Agent Coulson said.

"Okay" I said, kind of suspicious.

I walked into Agent Coulson's office, and closed the door behind me. The office was huge, so I stood by the door.  The meeting began shortly after.  I placed my ear against the door, and started to listen to what they were saying.

"How are we going to to stop this?" My dad asked.

"He's my brother" Thor said.

"What should we do?" Captain America asked.

"I propose that we lock this guy up" Nick Fury said.

"And, how will that help?" Bruce Banner asked.

"I say, we just kill him" Hawkeye said.

"Whoa, that's my brother that you're talking about!"  Thor shouted.

I could understand a little bit of what they were saying.  It was getting a little out of hand. 

"Loki, needs to be stopped" Black Widow said.

"I can try to speak to him about this, first" Thor suggested.

"That could work" Agent Coulson said.

Things started to calm down a bit.  I backed away from the office door.

"So, is it settled then?" Captain America asked.

"I guess so"  My dad said.

"I will speak to Loki, and try to put a stop to this" Thor said.

"Agreed!" Everyone said.

The meeting was over, finally.  I walked out of Agent Coulson's office and into the meeting room.  Everyone was still sitting at the table. 

"Alright guys, it's settled" Agent Coulson said.

Everyone stood up from the table and began to converse with each other.

"Jessy!" A voice called out to me.

I looked over and it was Steve.  I walked up to him.

"So, how have you been?"  Steve asked me.

"I'm doing well, how about you?"  I asked back.

"Same here, just been fighting off bad guys, of course" Steve chuckled. 

"Cool" I said, chuckling a little.

The conversations of everyone, continued throughout the room.  I continued to talk to Steve. 

"So, my dad said that you  have been asking about me a lot lately" I began to say. 

"Oh, he did?" Steve asked.

"Yeah, have you been asking about me lately?" I asked him.

"Yes, I just haven't seen you in a while, and I was just wondering how you were doing"  He replied.

"Oh, okay" I said.

We continued to chat with each other.  It was a good conversation.  Then, my dad came up to us.

"Jessy, we better get home, it's getting late"  My dad said.

"Okay dad" I replied.

I looked at Steve, and he looked at me. Everyone else continued their talking. 

"Hey, I have to go, can we talk another time?" I asked Steve.

"Sure, of course" Steve said.

"Okay cool, see you later" I said.

"See you soon" Steve said.

My dad and I said goodbye to everyone, and we left. We took the elevator to the first floor.  After walking through the lobby, we arrived outside to the car. My dad and I climbed in the car and went home.  We arrived back at Stark Tower safely. We got out of the car, and took the stairs to the top. My dad and I came up to our front door. 

"Jarvis, we are home, unlocked the house please"  My dad said. 

"House is unlocked, Mr. Stark" Jarvis said.

We walked inside, and there was my mom.  She was sitting on the couch, waiting for us. 

"Hey guys, how was the meeting?" My mom asked.

"It went well" My dad answered.

"Hey mom" I greeted her.

"Hey Jessy" She greeted me.

"I'm going to bed, goodnight" I said.

"Goodnight" My mom and dad said to me.

I walked into the bathroom and brushed my teeth.  When I was done, I went into my bedroom, closing the door behind me.  Then, I proceeded to change into my pajamas. 

"Jarvis, lights out please" I said.

"Lights are turned off, Miss Jessy" Jarvis answered.

I climbed into bed and laid there for a minute. I began to think about Steve. He has asked about me a lot, it made me feel good, but I was still curious to why.  Steve was excited to see me tonight, and of course I was excited to see him.  I hadn't seen Steve in a long time, to which it was good to talk to and see him again.  I still wanted to find out why he kept asking about me a lot. I fell asleep, and I slept through the night.
