Stitches' POV
"So what do killers like you guys do for fun when you're not out murdering? Besides lounging around." I ask Helen, who was painting something. He glanced towards me, but didn't reply. "Or in your case, anything that includes art." "Normally, we stay in our rooms or in the living room. Other times, we go out to buy stuff." "Umm, what about some appearance problems? As in a stitched mouth or something?" "Slender has this... spell thing that he uses when one of us wants to go out. It makes us look normal...to human standards anyway." "huh. Well, this place is one of the weirdest places I've ever been to, so I shouldn't be very surprised." Saying nothing, he continues his painting. I'm about to get up and out of his room, when he murmurs "Don't move." I sit back down, and he resumes painting. "what are you painting, Helen?" "You. Now, be quiet, I need to concentrate." I stay as still as I can, ignoring the slight blush on my cheeks. 'why would he want to paint me of all people? I'm not very special in a way that he knows about. plus, I wear a mask, so even he doesn't know what I really look like. I guess that's best.' 'Maybe he likes you? Ever thought of that?' 'You are NOT helping. That would be awkward.' 'don't you like him?' 'I don't know, but why would he like an average killer like me? Wouldn't he prefer some demon's spawn or something?' 'perhaps, you'll never truly know..'
An hour later, he had finished his painting. "Come see, I think it's my best artwork yet." he says. I look at it, and he's right, it's absolutely beautiful. It doesn't really look like me, probably because I wear my mask, but it looks realistic. I assume he was trying to guess what my face looks like, and who knows? Maybe he'll know one day. "it's beautiful. Are you sure that's me?" He smiles, chuckling. "Well, I'm not certain that's what your face looks like, but how close am I?" I glance once more at the painting . "actually, it's pretty close, I suppose." "Well, your sister is probably looking for you, so I'll let you leave. See you later." I head for the door, nodding in response. Indeed, the minute I enter my own room, Soul Snatcher leaps from her bed, and runs towards me. "Where in hell were you?! " "Relax, I was with Bloody Painter." Her eyes narrow. "Uh-huh, and what were you doing with him?" "He decided to paint me. I had no say in it. But he did a fine job, I'll tell you that." "Huh, well, I went out killing." "When there's light out?! are you crazy?" "Yeah, I am. What about it?" I facepalm, and leave the room. "Oh, come-on. Besides, Jeff went with me. It was an easy kill, and they were wandering about Slender Forest. " "Fine, but if there were any witnesses,-" "I know, I have to get rid of them, but there weren't any. Don't worry." I nod, and since I'm still bored, I go downstairs, where, again, a whole lot of noise is coming from. BEN and Jeff are arguing, EJ and LJ are trying to get them to stop, and Slender's nowhere in sight. "Alright, split it up!" I shout, Alliby right beside me. They all stop, and Alliby glares at them. "Really, even non-humans are irresponsible brats. Shame on all of you." "And who the hell are you?" BEN asks. "I am a shadow. That is all you need to know." With that, she went back into my necklace.
