Ace was sitting on his bed drowning out his mom fighting with his stepfather by lessening to music. This occurs basically every day, you never really get used to something like this. But that's if you weren't born into a place like this. Ace was, but he didn't let it get to him. Unless someone where to hit him. Ace would make sure your face was ten times as ugly as it was before he taught you your lesson.
Ace turned up his music's volume as his parents got louder. For most people, the volume would make their ears bleed. Ace didn't care, at least he wouldn't have to hear the two morons down stairs...
Ace sighed, he wasn't particularly thinking...
...he was more...
feeling more than anything.
He had more emotions flowing threw his body than he had hormones. He felt empty, when he left the hospital yesterday something felt... wrong... It was like something was taken away from him, something very imporant. Ace didn't really know how to describe how he felt, emptiness was just one word to describe one thing he could tell he was feeling.Ace sighed as he laid back on his bed. He tried to shut his eyes but sleep never came to him. So Ace thought of all of the things he found out about Lillium.
...Which was basically nothing...
It seemed like he was getting nowhere any time soon. He had asked around school, her friends... although she only had a hand full, and then again no one really actually knew her other than Bellamy. And he wasn't really around much, Ace didn't blame him. Bellamy had a life to continue, Bellamy had collage and other things to do out of state. And it's not like Lillium would wake up anytime soon.
Ace felt something warm roll down his cheek, he was crying with a blank face... To Ace it was okay to cry..
Just make sure your alone with all the doors looked and the lights out. You never want to let your guard down and let another man see you cry. Thinking of the poor excuse of a man down stairs Ace had stopped crying and rolled over in bed.
This time sleep came easily and dreamless.
Ace woke up with the house completely empty. His mom and stepdad where both gone. But Ace really could have cared any less. Ace had opened the front door getting ready to check the mail box only to find a black rose with a red ribbon laying on the steps.
The rose had a note under it. Ace read the note and had become really, really pissed off. The words of the note swam in his head.
You're lost just admit it,
you should have never commited,
to a lost cause.
She's never going to wake,
her life was only mine to take.Ace's eye brow twitched in annoyance. He crumbled the stupid note and stomped on the rose. "Bull shit..." Ace mumbled under his breath. Ace slammed the door shut and started walking to the graveyard.
After all that's the place they had actually first met...
