After the First Wizarding War, the Ministry declared that any witches and wizards between ages 15-20 (inclusive) will be given the chance to be a Protector. After they reached the age of 20, they'll be given a choice to be an Auror or pursue a career in something else.
Protectors are witches and wizards who are given the task to put up a disguise and go to the Muggle world to find and protect Virtues. They are to put up disguises and study with Muggles. Some of these Muggles are Virtues.
All of the Protectors are witches and wizards who perform well in their studies. Most of them score straight Os and is always the top of their cohorts.
Virtues are humans that do not know they possess magical powers. All witches and wizards will get their Hogwarts letter at the age of 11. Virtues however, will not. They possess powers that are rare and can be quite dangerous if not handled well. Their powers can only be revealed to everyone the moment they step into the Wizarding World.
After the Dark Lord's rise in 1995, he has been hunting down Virtues as he thought they will be resourceful to him. He sends Death Eaters to the Muggle world and hunt Virtues down. Most of the time, 90% of the Virtues were saved and were brought to the Wizarding World.
That's my job, disguise, study with Muggles, find the Virtues in the sea of Muggles, round them up when Death Eaters come attacking and send them to Hogwarts, Durmstang or Beauxbatons.
