We finished our dinner around 9 pm.

We walked towards his car, and it was a little chilly outside and he did the total cliché thing of giving me his jacket. Actually, he literally put it on for me and I couldn't help but roll my eyes, and when I looked up at him he was having a hard time holding back laughter and there were tears coming out of his eyes.

"What?" I asked, laughing a bit myself. Even his silent laughter was contagious.

"Nothing, I just couldn't do that without laughing, but I tried I'm sorry." And he did just that, laugh.

"Don't worry; I'm kinda glad you're laughing. I appreciate the gesture and all, but dude what a cliché." And joined in on his laughing.

We got into the car, and he asked me what I wanted to do next. I raised one of my eyebrows at him.

"I don't know, go home? I've to reach home by 9:30, that's my curfew." I replied.

He laughed, like he found the fact that I had a curfew funny.

"What?!" I asked, offended.

"Nothing, it's just that I've never had a curfew. I was always with my Gramma, and now my uncle and aunt don't think I need one. I'm just laughing because I want one and its absurd, you know?"

"You spoilt brats don't know what you don't have until you have it, so be happy." I tried to keep it light, even though his comment made me awfully sympathetic towards him.

He grinned at me and asked "So you wanna go home?"

"I kind of have to." I didn't want to leave him just yet.

"On one condition."

"What?"

"Can I come over tomorrow?"

Silence. Why did he want to come over? We just had our first date. Surely he's not jumping the gun? God I really like him please let him not be jumping the gun.

"Don't look so tensed, Jay. I just thought we could have a study date or something, we do have a chemistry test this week." He looked at me hopefully.

Jay. I liked that. I took a deep breath and said "Sure. 5-ish?"

"That sounds great." And he began driving me home.

I got out of the car when we arrived at my place, and to my surprise and delight he did too.

"Walking me to the door?" I asked with a laugh.

"Yeah actually. Too cliché for you?"

"Not really, no." I smiled at him, and he came closer and held my hand.

"Do you want to come in?" I asked when we reached the door.

"Tomorrow." He said.

I nodded, and he gave me a closed-mouth smile before he leaned in. And then his lips were on mine, and I felt the warmth of it and I felt how soft it was and I couldn't help but kiss him back. It lasted for only a second, maybe two, before he pulled his lips away and rested his forehead on mine. I missed his lips already, but we grinned at each other, said our Good Nights, and I watched him get into the car and drive away. I turned and got into the house, and like so many other times this week, I got in with the biggest smile on my face.
