Clarysa's pov
I was so glad it was saturday. I get a whole weekend to relax and unwind. No mate to drag me down even though Aunt Ravenna was right about having to tell my parents soon but I just don't know how to tell them or how they would believe me. It is kinda of a shock.
"Clar! Don't forget to do your chores!" Mom called from downstairs. I sighed before getting up and heading downstairs. Relaxing is reserved for later then. Moving downstairs there was already a small list of chores for me to do. Picking up the note I noticed something different. It said to make up the guest bedroom.
"Mom! Why am I making up the guest bedroom?" I asked knowing she could hear me.
"You will find out later now do as I asked please!" She called back. My mother always did like surprises. I sighed before walking down the hall to one of the guest bedrooms. Opening the door to the medium sized room it was pretty clean aside from having the bed not made and of course there was nothing in the bathroom for whoever is staying here. I leave the room to go to the linen closet to get new sheets, pillows, and a duvet for bed. Just as I walk out carrying it all I hear the voice of Jay.
"Look I'll meet you there alright just give me some time. My parents have some surprise then I'm in the clear." He says coming closer to my location. I walk back into the linen closet as he come closer and I could hear a voice on the other side of the phone.
"We are counting on you Jaime don't screw it up." The person said before hanging up. Jay was about to pass me when I showed myself.
"Hey Jay." I said with a small smile. He looked spooked then looked at me curiously.
"Hey C. Hows your day?" He asked rubbing his neck nervously. I looked at him with a blank face.
"I heard it all bro." I said flatly. He sighed.
"How much would it take for you to not tell mom and dad?" He asked with a fearful look. I sighed. Heck I didn't even know all of it but for him I will just help him out.
"Fine but you owe me. " I said with a small smile.
"Thanks sis. It means a lot."
"Yeah Yeah but I expect a an explanation later." I said walking past him and into the bedroom. He followed me in.
"Why are you setting up the guest room?" He asked looking around the room.
"Mom said its a surprise. I just have to make the bed and get the shower ready. " I said setting the items down on the dresser near the door.
"Well have fun sis." He said before leaving. I sighed before grabbing a sheet and walking to the bed. While I started to make it i started to hum. It was a habit of mine since I was little. If I was doing chores I would start to hum if there was no music to listen or sing along too. As I start to tuck the sheets I start to sing.
Don't look at me
Everyday is so wonderful
Then suddenly
It's hard to breathe
Now and then I get insecure
From all the pain
I'm so ashamedI am beautiful
No matter what they say
Words can't bring me down
I am beautiful
In every single way
Yes words can't bring me down
Oh no
So don't you bring me down todayTo all your friends you're delirious
So consumed
In all your doom, ooh
Trying hard to fill the emptiness
The pieces gone
Left the puzzle undone
Ain't that the way it isYou're beautiful
No matter what they say
Words can't bring you down
Oh no
You're beautiful
In every single way
Yes words can't bring you down
Oh no
So don't you bring me down today
