Clarysa's pov
It had been a few days since I had told Liam I would give us a shot. I have to admit there are some pros to having a mate. He is very considerate and sweet after all that has happened these past few days.
"Clar?" I snap back to reality only to see Liam's worried face. We were hanging out at his house since my family didn't know I had a mate. Well except Aunt Ravenna and Xavier.
"Yes?" I said with a small blush.
"What are you thinking about?" He asked with a half smile.
"Us. Just how it's not so bad to have a mate." I said looking at my hands.
"I agree. It's really nice. Clar I've been meaning to ask you something." He said gently.
"What is it?" I asked nervously. I still had a little bit of trust issues with him.
"Would you go on a date with me tomorrow?" He asked almost as if he was nervous. I smiled at him and put my hand over his.
"I would love too." I said with a genuine smile.
"That's great! I'll pick you up at 7!" He said happily. I smiled at it. My heart swelled at the sight.
"Clarysa! Xavier's here!" Yelled Liam's beta Ian. I sighed before getting up and Liam mumbled something under his breath.
"I'll see you later Liam." I said grabbing my backpack.
"Let me walk you down." Liam said opening his door. We walked down in silence but Liam had held my hand most of the way down. Xavier and Ian were talking civil but in their eyes they both wanted to kill each other. We meet them at the end of the stairs.
"Liam we have a meeting in ten minutes." Ian said professionally.
"Clar let's go."Xavier said leaving no room for discussion. I nodded before turning to Liam. He looked at me with happy eyes.
"Bye Liam." I said before kissing his cheek. He smiled before kissing my forehead. I told him I wanted to wait for our first kiss. I then left side by side with Xavier. We went out to the truck and I let out a shakey breath as his pack house was slowly getting smaller.
"Was it that bad?" He asked with a small smile. I chuckled.
"No it's just overwhelming sometimes." I said with the same small smile.
"Well if you ever need to escape you know where I am." He said focusing on the road. I am way too thankful for Xavier. It wasn't long before my house came into sight and I became slightly happier. I loved my house it was my get away from the world. I got out just in time to see my parents come out.
"Oh honey why don't you guys come with us to greet the new pack member." Dad said with a smile.
"Okay. Xavier let's get back into your precious truck." I said with a snicker. He rolled his eyes but cracked a smile.
"What is it with you and making fun of my relationship with my truck?" He asked as we got back into the truck.
"Its not normal for someone to have that relationship with his truck." I said with a laugh.
"Laugh all you want but it means that I am least likely to have an accident." He said as we drove to the pack house. I wonder why Mom and Dad want us to help welcome a pack member. Soon as I know it we are rolling into the mansion like pack house. It was a very modern house made to look as if a billionaire lived there but in reality we all pay for it. Several families live there and help clean, cook, and work to keep this house livable. It was four stories and the color was a soft yellow that could make anyone feel at home. We head on into the house and a crowd of people were surrounding one single person. I knew almost everyone there.
"Oh Cory this is my daughter, Clarysa, and her cousin, Xavier." Mom introduced as we neared towards the group. The man turned around and I instantly felt weird. I moved a little closer to Xavier.
"Hello Xavier and Clarysa." He said and his voice sent a shiver down my spine. Who is this guy?
"Well Cory it's nice to meet you. Welcome to the blood paw pack." Xavier said before shaking Cory's hand.
"Thanks Xavier. I think I will enjoy it here." He said happily but for some reason I didn't buy it. Maybe I'm just paranoid after all several weird things have happened already I have a right to be paranoid.
"Welcome to the Blood Paw Pack. If you would like I can show you around the house." I offered with a polite smile. He smiled back at me.
"I would love that." He said with a bright smile.
Room 139
Okay Uncle David
"Please follow me." I said before heading towards the kitchen. We entered the large kitchen and I could practically hear his surprise.
"This place is huge!" He exclaimed. I smiled.
"It isn't even the biggest room in the house. The biggest room is the living room and it takes up most of the base level floor." I said with a slight smirk. I was proud of our pack and it's possessions even if I won't be the beta of the pack I still want to help it. We went through the floors until we reached the third where his room was. We walked down the very nice hallway until we reached a room with a small gold plaque that read 139.
"Is this my room?" He asked opening the door. His room had olive green walls with light brown carpet. It was fairly simple and I think he was a high school student considering his room held a desk.
"Yes it is. Someone will most likely come up to take you shopping for clothes and other supplies. If they are nice enough they might even let you get somethings to personalize your room." I said before getting ready to leave.
"Thank you Clarysa. You are very kind. I hope we can be friends." He said with a small smile. I smiled back.
"I would love to be your friend." I said before leaving. The weird feelings that I had were smaller now almost non existent. Maybe the new guy won't be so bad after all.
