Jhene
Darkness. Pitch black darkness. My sight was completely filled of nothing but the color black.
The last thing I recalled was a huge swerve, and then falling into something. That was it. At this point, my eyes were closed and my entire body was cold. Not just cold, it was freezing. Cold to the point where it hurt bad enough to feel a sharp needle-like pain. I wasn't exactly aware of my surroundings, but I tried to move in any way possible way. Eventually, I was able to breathe, taking away the suffocating feeling I had previously experienced. Once regaining sight, I realized I was in the water, coming up early enough to see the plane sinking down. A loud, and painful, sound came propelling towards me, increasing in volume. Moving my arms and legs as fast as I could manage, through the insanely cold water- of the ocean I had assumed- I peered upwards to see a helicopter lowering towards the accident.
Thank you, God.
All I could do was be thankful that I had a way of getting out of this pain. I remembered pulling out my cell phone earlier on the plane when I noticed who the pilot was, somehow managing to dial 911 in time to alert for help. Which clearly had came to my aid, thankfully and miraculously.
The noise was now ringing in my ears at a maximized volume, throwing a ladder down near me, leading me into the helicopter. Grabbing the end of the ladder with my now numb fingers, I gripped it into my hand, struggling to pull myself up. Once inside, a man in uniform in the passenger seat handed me a blanket. I gave him a wary look, unsure of whether he was a pilot or not after having to experience the faulty situation Braden staged.
After standing there, debating it, I carefully took the blanket from him, thanking him quietly, and wrapping the cloth around myself to tame the constant shivers rippling through my body at a rough speed.
To my surprise, two other males climbed up the ladder, ready to take a seat on the helicopter as well.
"NO!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. "They can't come on here! They wrecked that plane on purpose!" My voice coming out shakily and raspy, I still put in as much effort as possible.
"Ma'am, we understand your accusation but these situations are accidents," the passenger craned his neck around to face me, explaining an utter lie. "You have to remember to be appreciative that you survived such a crucial crash."
Appreciative that I survived? Yes. Appreciative that they survived? No.
"You don't understand, he-" I began, but he interrupted me once again.
"I do understand. Now please scoot over to make room for them so we can get to the hospital." At this point, he seemed impatient and agitated with my doubt.
Refusing to argue any longer, I crammed myself against the side of the helicopter, leaving enough space so that I wouldn't have to sit near that monster.
The helicopter regained speed, flying upwards and over the ocean. As my fear triggered even more with Braden sitting beside me, I tried my best to try to push those thoughts out of my mind.
Just as I began to attempt of thinking about something else, Aubrey crossed my mind. I was supposed to be on my way to Toronto to visit him, but clearly that wouldn't be happening. Did he even know that this happened? He was probably waiting for me to arrive, when that obviously was not going to be happening. What about Krissy? Did she know? I'm sure she would be expecting a call around this time- whatever time this was- but I had no way of calling her. Thinking of my phone, I reached into the soaking wet pocket of my jeans and felt my phone. Pushing the home button, the screen appeared with several vertical lines on it. It was broken. Being the second time it's broken, it was a coincident that both times were when Antonio was involved. This first time being when he threw it against the wall, the second being tonight from Braden, which had everything to do with Antonio.
