Chapter 42- Not her

Eugena's POV
"K-kiroyuki? I... I- my name is Eugena! Remember me?"

'She looks so different. She looks more mature and her eyes... Her eyes are bright red, like shining rubies... She looks slightly taller too... I miss her.'

"Sorry... But I'm not Kiroyuki, kid."

"Eh? What do you...mean?" I breathed out, confused.

'Not Kiroyuki? I know her eyes are different and I don't know why, but... This still has to be Kiroyuki, right? I'm not sure how to comprehend those words...'

"*Sigh* Kiroyuki is um, gone temporarily I guess. She's inside of me right now basically."

"Then who are you right now? What happened to her!?"

I felt desperate to know. To know what happened to the girl whose smile outshined the sun. To know who this girl is and why Kiroyuki is gone.

"Eugena! That's enough-" Raji tried backing up for Akuma, but was cut off by her herself.

"It's fine Raji." Sighing, she turned to the younger boy. "The names Akuma. I'm the original owner to this body and right now, Kiroyuki is somewhere sleeping inside of me for who knows how long. Surprisingly, I'm not in some dungeon for my crimes."

"... So... H-how did this happen?"

"A ritual. A... painful ritual."

"Eh?" Everyone blurted out, not knowing of this very important detail.

"I'm tired! Raji! Where will I be staying at?" Akuma turned away from Eugena and the topic, making them speechless.

"I thought you wanted to spar-... I'll lead the way to your chamber along with everyone else. Come, follow me."

Everyone began walking a few steps, being stopped immediately.

"Wi... Will I ever see Kurotaki again?!" Eugena shouted, desperation in his voice.

'Kiroyuki this and Kiroyuki that... Makes my bones itch!'

"Who knows. You should embrace yourself if she doesn't. See ya later kid, I'm tired."

'I'm tired of everything...' Was her final thoughts.

'See ya later...? Does that mean they'll/ we'll meet again?' Both Ryu and Eugena thought at the same time.

"Raji! Let me spare with one of your best! I need some fire in my spirit! I feel rusty!" Akuma yelled, stretching her arm muscles.

"What?! I thought you-"

"You should have Akuma spar with Zen or Mitsuhide." Kiki commented.

"Not funny Kiki!" They both retorted.

"What about 2 vs. 1?" Shirayuki thought, placing a finger to her chin.

"That'd be interesting." Ryu commented.

"Hell yeah!" Akuma grinned, throwing a fist into the air forcefully.

"... Sakaki should join in on the sparing also!" Raji excitingly brought up, snapping his fingers like a boss.

"I'M UP FOR THE CHALLENGE! LET'S GO! I NEED MORE TRAINING TO BECOME STRONGER!"
