Chapter 22- Rivals? pt.2

Kiroyuki's POV
"I'm so tired~! I'm so nervous~! I'm so bored~!"

I plainly slammed my head onto my desk top and sighed as I enveloped the sound of silence. I slowly lifted up my head and rested it onto my hand and prompted elbow as I looked around my office with a hint of sadness lingering around my heart. Pulling out my silver and blue snowflake pendant, I warmly smiled of the fond memories of Christmas with a hint of warmth on my cheeks and heart.

"....I wonder what would become of my future...." Still staring at my pendant, I decided to hide it as I was sent to a world of shock and silly fright because of a voice.

"Hello princess Kiroyuki! You look rather dazed with that lovely expression of yours!" Squealing in fright, I jumped up with a huge flinch and punched whoever was beside me and sent that person flying.

"What the heck! Don't scare me like that! Did I break anything?!" Worrying, I checked the male's hands and arms for any injuries or unusual wounds I may have created, but found none. Sighing in relief I glared at the staring male.

"Please don't look that way at me princess.... You're utterly too cute!" Blushing madly, I slapped him across his face and dropped his upper body onto the marbled floor. Huffing in annoyance, I stood up as I crossed my arms and glared at the slightly older male.

"I-idiot!"

"Come on, you really do love me princess Kiroyuki!" Tightening my fits once more, I was ready to punch the male in his guts.

"Heheh! It looks like you're having more fun now princess! You're not as depressed looking!"

Blinking to myself with my playful annoyance and frustrated expressions and feeling, I actually felt....calmer....

Smiling warmly, I closed my eyes and took a breath and out reached my hand to help lift up the young teen before me.

"You're really cute when you smile princess! I'm glad you remember me despite those many years!"

Smiling bitterly yet sweetly, I scoffed and playfully punched his firm and strong arms.

"Yeah... I guess I thought I'd never see you again.... Neil...."

Feeling the warmth on top of my head, I blinked and gazed my eyes up towards Neil's sparkling smile to whom I've always remembered since we were very little. Seeing that warm and comforting smile reviewed all of my memories of being with Neil.

Neil would always visit my family and kingdom since I was born. We're only three years apart, making us more close than other royal families in friendship that we both have. Although Clarines is our best ally, Utopian is our closest family-like kingdom. I remember Neil would also hold my hands whenever I'm afraid of the dark and would comfort my loneliness. He would always fight away my monsters from nightmares and comfort me to sleep. Neil, miss Nani, and I would always play in the snow and laugh. I remember the time when I was silly enough to climb a tree in hopes of surprising him, but fell off the branch because of the snow. Neil was also practicing his horse riding skills and caught me. I felt like a lost princess that fell in love with a prince that meant everything to me... He was my Prince Charming. Unfortunately, I no longer saw him once he turned ten... Miss Nani would always comfort me with my broken heart in hopes of seeing my only friend...
