"اثنان غرف لمدة أسبوع، الرج(Two rooms for a week, please.)," Zach told the man behind the front desk. The man smiled and gave Zach two key cards. "These are for room 116," he said in almost perfect English. "And these are for room 117," handing him two more key cards. "Enjoy your stay."
Zach walked next to me. "Well that was a waste of brainpower."
"I really hope you're joking," I replied.
"Wow. You're so kind," he countered.
We stopped in front of an elevator. "I'm taking the stairs," Macey said, and started towards the stairs.
"Why?" Preston asked.
"Never really got over Boston. Besides, I could use the exercise."
"I'll go with you," he offered, and they started up the stairs.
There was a camera in the elevator, so we didn't talk as we ascended. The door opened, and we found our rooms.
"So what's the room plan?" Bex asked when Macey and Preston had met up with us.
"Girls in one room, boys in the other." He handed me and Liz two of the key cards and headed towards his room.
Liz swiped her card in the lock. The light blinked red. It reminded me of entering the sub levels.
"Wrong way, Lizzie. You have it facing the wrong direction," Macey said, gesturing towards the arrow on the card that pointed at Liz.
"Oopsy daisy," she said and swiped it again. The light flashed green and the door swung open.
Bex rushed in. "I call thi-"
Before she could finish, a body had flattened her to the ground. The attacker lunged towards me. I dodged, and caught her by the ankle and jabbed her in the side with my elbow. In return, she kicked me in my gut. I coiled away to the wall separating us from the boys, clenching my stomach. I could hear similar sounds going on in their room. Our attacker was getting ready to place another blow, but was tackled by Macey and Bex and pinned to the ground. Liz pulled off the mask the woman was wearing. Their faces were frozen in pure shock. I got up from the corner I was in and looked at her face.
"Abby?! What are you doing here?" I said with a slight growl, my adrenaline still wearing off.
"If they would get off of me, I can explain," she gasped. "Need some air."
Bex and Macey rolled off my aunt, Who took a deep breath. "Letting your guard down, Bex? I expected more out of you." she smirked.
Bex blushed, making her milk chocolate cheeks darker. "Well, jet lag really catches up on you when you see a comfy bed."
I noticed a light reflecting onto a wall, which I traced back to Abby's left hand. The ring on her finger was silver, with a diamond in the middle surrounded by smaller diamonds.
Liz was the first to say something about it. "Oooh, Abby! I love your ring! it's so pretty!"
I took her hand for a closer look. It was even prettier up close. Then I noticed something. I looked up. "Hey, Abby, why do you have a wedding band on your finger?"
At that moment, the boys walked into the room with Townsend. Preston had a bloody nose. Macey ran over to him, ready to help, but after examining the small amount of blood, told him to "suck it up."
Townsend put his arms around my aunt. "We're married."
So, wait. He's my uncle now? Great. And I guess I'm dating my step cousin now.
I pointed at Zach. "He said you two were engaged, not married."
"Could't hold out a long wait. We've put off a relationship long enough, haven't we?" my aunt explained. "Your mother doesn't know yet. She wanted a really big wedding at the Academy. Rachel can kill me later." She and Townsend exchanged a kiss.
"So why are you here?" Macey asked. "You guys should be on a honeymoon in the Bahamas or something."
"Haven't you figured it out already? We're the senior agents on this mission! Gotta love pesky espionage organizations. Won't ever let you catch a break." She rolled her eyes.
"So what does that exactly mean?" Bex asked. "Like you'll be doing the stuff with us, or you'll supervise us?"
"A little bit of both," Abby yawned. "I'm going to bed. We're right down the hall if you need anything," she said, dragging her husband with her. "Goodnight, kids! Sleep tight!"
"I'm going to bed too. So that means that you all have to go out. Sweet dreams!" I said to the boys, making my sound terrifying.
As I closed the door on them, I heard Grant say, "Did she just say sweet dreams to us? Dude, your girlfriend is crazy."
"She's crazy in the most awesome way," I heard Zach reply.
I faced my best friends. "Now, we plan our prank war!"
