chapter 21

My fingers patted patterns on my leg. She smiled at me and I returned it hesitantly. She held her arms out for me and I walked in them.

"How are you?" I shrugged in the hug.

"Im okay. Pregnant." She pulled away and looked down at my stomach.

"May I..." I nodded and she placed her warm hands on my stomach. After a few seconds, the baby kicked and her smile grew wider. "I cant wait."

"Me too." She removed her hands and turned to jonah, who had a cheeky grin.

"Have you told her?" I furrowed my eyebrows. Whats she talking about? Jonah shook his head. "Okay, well im gonna go to the bathroom. Tell. Her." Jonah nodded and his mom walked off.

"What the fuck jonah!" I whisper/shouted. I walked closer to him and punched him in the chest.

"Ow! What?!" He rubbed his chest.

"Why would you bring your mom here without telling me!?" I kept my voice low, not wanting her to hear me.

"Because, it was kind of a surprise for me too. But it also wasnt. I knew she was coming but I thought it was next week." I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"What was she talking about?"

"What do yo- ooohh, she um.... she wants you to go to Minnesota until you have the baby." Just then jonahs mom walked out of the bathroom and smiled. She looked at jonah and he nodded. And if it could get any worse, ben walked out of the guest room.

"Whos this?" Jonahs mom said, sounding a bit mad.

"Im ben, baileys twin??" Her eyes swtched back and forth from me and him and soon smiled.

"Oh." I took a deep breath through my nose and looked at my future mother in law. "So, since jonah has told you, I think we should get packed and ready?" I stared in shock.

"But I still have so much stuff to do here. I cant just leave."

"Like what?"

"Well, I havent done the babys room yet, or bought any baby related things. Stuff like that!"

"Well, then ill help you tomorrow and we'll leave afterwards."

"But I didnt even have a baby shower." My voice grew weak. I wanted to be with jonah when I have the baby, not jonah and his mom. Not that I dont like her, ive met her once or twice and she even talked to me after the breakup.

"We'll have one tomorrow." My face showed disappointment. I was super excited about doing these things. Taking my time and having fun doing it, now I dont know.

Jonah walked up and pulled me into a hug. "Im sorry," he whispered.

"Ill go, but after we finish getting the room together. And I want Marie to go with me. And when im near the due date, I want the guys there too."

She looked at me then at jonah. She sighed and nodded.

"Shes asleep," jonah said walking into our room. I sighed and rested my head back onto the pillows. "Im sorry that you have to go. Its a good place though, im sure youll love it." I looked up and glared at him. "I love you." Jonah climbed into the bed and curled up next to me. He placed a soft kiss to my cheek. His fingers glazed over my stomach delicately.

"I love you too." Jonah scooched down until he was level with my stomach.

"Hi baby." He gave it soft kiss and rested his ear on me. "I love you so much. I hope youll see that one day. And youre gonna fight with me and your mom, but always remember, moms right. I love you baby ashton." He kissed my stomach one more time before falling asleep next to me.
