Part 10

I held Ben's hand as we walked along the riverbank, it was pretty and soothing, and romantic, but that wasn't why we were here. We were looking for a waterfall. It was somewhere along this bank, I knew it, It had to be. There was no possible way it wasn't. . . Or maybe there was.

"Ben. It isn't a literal waterfall." I said suddenly, he furrowed his eyebrows, but then realization dawned on him.

"It's a sink or bathtub. The one in your bedroom, the handles to turn the water on in the sink are flowers." He said in awe, I smiled, he remembered every detail of my bedroom apparently.

"I don't get 'tall during the day and small at night' thing though," I said. Ben was quiet for a while, I was thinking of possibilities, there were so many and I couldn't think of just one.

"You always use the bathroom with the lights on right?" He asked I nodded, I wasn't afraid of the dark. . . . Nope, not afraid of the dark. . . . . . "Well then, the flowers are blossoming when the light is on, whenever you turn off the lights they are like morning glory's, they fold up at night, maybe that's all we need," he explained, I smiled at him and ruffled his hair.

"See, you're the genius here, if it weren't for you, I wouldn't have even known that there was a secret adventure to even go on," I said, I stood on my toes and kissed him. I could feel him smiling.

We walked back to the camp and had a late lunch. Tomorrow we'd hike up to the mountain, climb to the top, and zipline to the bikes. I wasn't looking forward to riding the bikes uphill all the way to the Lodge. It was going to be horrible. But at least I had Ben to do it with. I couldn't wait to get back to the Lodge and see the Underground room to figure out the next clue. It was fun to have someone to do it with too.

"You know, I think iv decided what to do now, like when we get back to the Lodge, we should go out on an actual-" My and Ben's phone buzzing interrupted what I was saying. We were finishing up lunch when we had to look at the phones.

Emergency, all staff members must return to the lodge, guests can continue with the games, but I need staff here to keep an eye on everything. I and Skye need to go to the hospital, James has been in an accident. ~ Dad

Ben got the same text I did. It would be faster if we took the zip line back rather than walk all the way to the river and kayak across. We packed up as fast as possible and made our way to the rock climbing course.

We put on the gear and Ben made me start going up first so he could catch me if I fell. He warned me not to go too fast. I still climbed a bit quickly as my mind wasn't really on the climbing part. I was about to literally ask Ben if he wanted to go out and see if we wanted to do the whole dating thing, and then, of course, James had to go do something stupid.

It took fifteen minutes for me to get to the top, and Ben was up right behind me. I looked up at the zip line. It was a little scary looking, but, I was going to do it. The competitors were supposed to use the climbing gear and hook up to the zipline and ride back over the trees. The real challenge was, that you had to attach yourself to your partner. There was a pile of clips for the partners to attach themselves with. I clipped myself onto the zip line and took a deep breath while Ben did the rest, he clipped himself and clipped us together. The clip was a safety precaution as well, in case one clip broke, you'de still be attached to your partner, and you'de be safe.

"Ready?" Ben asked, I shook my head and looked back at him.

"It's really high."

"You'll be fine, iv got you, we've got to get back." He said, I nodded and held onto the rope that held me to the line tightly. Ben took one of my hands. "Iv got you, you'll be fine." He repeated. I swallowed and for some reason, I didn't feel the butterflies anymore. I nodded once and gave him the go. I screamed for a minute but stopped. It was actually kind of fun.
