Okay Wattpad seriously screwed up my first update on this chapter so that only half the beginning A/N could be seen...that must've been a little awkward. Anyways, here goes upload #2...and my apologies for any confusion that occurred due to the mishap.
The song used in the last chapter was the amazing Jesus of Suburbia by Green Day, (all rights go the lil' punkie pies)
And for knowing that and telling me so, this chapter is dedicated to the wonderful [snowcookies]. Merci!
And without further adieu,
here's chapter nine.

Pony's POV
Breathe.
In...
Don't get emotional.
Out...
Stay strong for Kathlee.
In...
She needs you now.
Out...
Make her feel special.
Show her you care.
"Hey..." I whispered, lacing the back of her wind blown hair between my fingers, "how ya doin'?"
"I'm" she sniffled, craning her neck to the side and smiling when our eyes met, "better. Thank you... I'm sorry, I ran off, I just...I had a dream y'all didn't want me anymore. Soda was calling me selfish and I guess he was right. I made you chase me out here into the night, all because I've got some mommy-daddy issues..." She spat bitterly, her smile faltering. "I'm so sorry."
"Hey, no...no, Kathlee don't think like that." I sighed, easing her back into my arms so that her head leaned into the crook of my neck and my arm was supporting her lower back and hip; I felt like I was cradling an oversized baby with trust and esteem issues. But she was so close to me I could feel her heart beat and every time she breathed I had to restrain myself from lifting her up and kissing her perfect pink lips till she all the pain and sorrow left her body.
Stop it Pony, she doesn't feel the same as you. She's her and you're you.
"No matter what anybody, including yourself, says, you're perfect just the way you are and we love having you live with us. Alright?" I said, bracing the back of her neck with my hand as I turned her up to face me. "Alright?"
"I'm gonna guess that no matter what I say, you'll stick to your guns...so fine. Alright. I'll try to remember."
Her face softened and the corners of her lips perked up into the prettiest little smirk I'd ever seen.
"Thank you," she said, her arms reaching up around my neck to pull me into a hug, "thank you so much..."
My chin dropped down to her shoulder and I felt her breathing begin to steady again, "there's no need to thank me...that's what," I nearly threw-up while trying to spew out the godforsaken word, "friends...are for."
"Well," she started, dropping her body back into my lap after untangling her hands from behind my neck, "I never really had any friends before, but so far I like them." She winked.
She. Winked.
Oh god I'm not going to be able to live in the same house as this girl; I barely had enough strength to hold myself off of kissing her till my lungs gave out and all she did was pretty much blink with one eye.
"Heh...ha, yeah..." I stuttered out, my face feeling on fire, "friends are nice."
"Mmhm..." She started quizzically, her eyes wandering mine for an explanation into my sudden stupidity, "actually...wait I do have a friend, although she's more like a sister or cousin...her name's Marie...and come to think of it, I should probably visit her soon, her dad is nearly just as bad as my parents..." She trailed off, her face falling suddenly, only to be brought back to life a second later when she talked about me meeting Marie.
"You're gonna love her so much, and ugh, she's super pretty and a little hot tamale if I do say so myself. In fact..." her voice quieted, "you'll probably end up falling for her just like all the boys..."
"Hey I'd beg to differ," I semi-assured her, lifting her face into my hands and a ghost of a smile creeping onto both our lips, "before and after I meet your friend, I'll still never give up the notion that you're the most beautiful girl to ever walk this earth."
She half her shook her head as her eyes welled-up with tears, "thanks...Pony..." She managed, glancing up at me and back down to her hands as she twiddled her thumbs, "I think I've cried enough tonight though, so do think we could head back home...?"
I smiled when I saw the remaining blush in her cheeks, and picked her up like a bride, "anything for you Princess."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My chapters are far too short, I know, and I'm sorry :/
However! There's some more fluff and a sort-of new character introduction, so I hope that kinda makes up for it.
Will Pony fall for Marie? Will Marie fall for Pony? Dun dun dun. Until next time, I shall leave you to ponder those questions and anymore you may have about this somewhat confusing and probably ill-written chapter/book.
Yeah, sorry...
Anyway, until next time you utterly superb and beautiful readers,
Love yourself and those around you,
Stay Gold.
