Westlyn let out a whole hearted laugh. Who was this girl? He already liked her!
"Haha...I think you mean partner with one of us, and maybe follow Eloise? I suppose you came from outside because that's Eloise's favorite reading area."
He rocked back and forth on his heels, his dimples only adding to his excitement.
"A-and nice to meet you! I've never met a Dee, it has to be the most beautiful name I've ever heard!"
His stuttering cut in a bit, but it only happened when he was nervous. The poor bean loved to talk but when he was around new people his stuttering limited his conversation.
Eloise eyed them both. So she would ash her about whatever the herd was but not westlyn? Strange. Completely odd. She would have to investigate later on why she was so short with her words.
Lillian had already cracked open her soda when Raina swung open the lobby doors.
"Sorry sorry, no flash photography."
She smirked, taking a pose as her multicolored hair slipped off her shoulders.
"And no mirrors~ I might break it with my gorgeousness."
"Don't think it's quite how it works, Raina."
Lillian coughed, fanning her face from her jump when Raina came inside.
Tossing her keys in the air snatching them midway, suns popped her bubblegum.
"Whatever. Sup, pip squeak."
She nodded to Eloise, then to Lillian.
"You too, pip squeak."
Lillian narrowed her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest as Raina laughed.
"Don't be so uptight. I'm just joking. So who's the newbie?"
"This is Dee."
Westlyn smiled.
Dee had never thought of her name as particularly 'pretty' but, it did sound better whenever westlyn said it. She felt his nervous excitement running through her own veins and shivered a little, unable to contain her joy. She didn't even care if she had gotten the orders wrong.
She jumped slightly when the newcomer crashed in. She gasped in awe as the lady walked over to them. Raina? Was that her name? Either was she was mesmerized by the bright colors of her hair and how they fell into beautiful curls.
"The herd and I think you're very pretty! Are you movie star?"
Dee exclaimed, standing up to reach out her hand. It looked soft and she of course wanted to touch it, but something stopped her. The herd was telling her that maybe it wouldn't be such a good idea... she'd been scolded before for it they thought? She quickly sat back down but continued smiling and looking around. Everyone here was so pretty, or handsome in Westlyns case. Her hazel eyes lit up at the sudden idea she had just received from her imaginary family.
"Will you all join my herd? They tell me they would just love it! We can leave to go play in the field out in the country! They like the tall grass there. Oh say you will! Say you'll leave with the herd and I to go to the country!"
She could barley contain her excitement at the thought of going out and making her herd happy!
"The Herd...?"
Westlyn tilted his head at an angle like a puppy when it's confused.
Replying to her question, Raina smirked and propped her hands into her hips.
"I might as well be."
"You're also a narcissist."
Lillian added, raising her eyebrows and giving Raina a smirk of her own.
"I'm not denying it."
She responded, giving her shoulders a loose shrug and turning her attention elsewhere.
"Oh look. Free mints."
Rainas eyes widened as she shuffled over to the front counter and took hold of a handful of peppermints, shoveling them into her bag.
"Raina I don't think that's very-"
Westlyn was cut off by Raina as she spoke.
"So what's all this about with the herd thing."
"Y-yes! That's what I was asking. What's this herd?"
Westlyn stuttered.
Taking another sip of her soda, Lillian brushed the hair out of her eyes as she sat down on the couch in front of the coffee table, perpendicular to where Eloise was seated.
Eloise, speaking of which, had already begun reading once more, enveloping herself into her fantasy world of her novel. If only she could actually be there instead of just reading about it. What were they talking about?
Something of the sorts of mints?
Ah, yes. The herd once again.
So Dee had brought it up to westlyn.
That was nice, because now she didn't have to put in the soffit of investigating the situation and instead could focus more on how this hero was going to defeat the humoungour obstacle of a monster.
Just as the hero was raising her sword about her head to chop the monster in two, a familiar banging interrupted her thoughts.Maverick.
The little twit had already begun his banging on the dreadful walls and it wasn't even 8:30 in the morning. If only she could get her hands around that scrawny neck of his...she wouldn't have to worry about his butt for the rest of eternity.
