      * authors note- so sorry this took forever and a day to get out! Promise the next one will be a lot sooner*

Smacking it sharply, Raina sent the puck back flying towards Dee.
"Of course you're losing. I'm playing you."
She smirked, raising her eyebrows and batting her eye lashes. Lillian rolled her eyes and let out a sigh, which in turn blew her bangs out of her eyes.
Westlyn eventually approached the game, dying the puck carefully. He wasn't as into sports as his best friend Atticus was, but they did interest him. The only sport he was well familiar with was baseball, however. He hadn't been on an actual team for quite some time but he still like to go out and play every once in a while. He also had learned to play piano when he was younger, and had even began singing lessons. They didn't last long, but useful just the same. At the moment he had his weekly meet for the swim team, and he had continued his love for music and baseball. His dancing skills however....couldn't compare to say the least. Lillian and Raina both had tied before to help him with steps but it seemed as though he had two left feet. He didn't mind, as long as he didn't step on anyone's toes that he was dancing with. That would be quite embarrassing.
Westlyn hopes Dee wasn't allergic to cat or dog hair, because westlyns apartment had become what was known as the "stray house." With the money he earned extra from his side jobs, he bought food for any lonesome animal in need of a good meal. He had started this a couple months back, and built now he up to three regular cats he had named Sassy, Clover, and Waffle. Two dogs- not including his actual two dogs he officially owned- that he had named Chip and Guac.
There was also a squirrel, to which he had recently named Larry, but Larry only came around every once in a while. When he wasn't working, volunteering, or taking classes, westlyn was currently in the midst of building some pet beds and a climbing ramp for the cats. He had just finished the dog playground, which was happily voted for by the other dog owners in his complex, and a cat playground but next on his agenda.
Dee pondered on What Raina meant by What she said. was she the air hockey champion? Did they even have competitions for that? Maybe that's why she was famous...! She was famous...right?
She watched the puck disappear into the hole and continues to stare at it for a while before suddenly reaching out to hit it.
     "Oh."
She said, realizing her reflexes had been a bit more than slow.
She got the puck back out and placed it firmly on the table. After watching the first couple of times, she began to pick up on what was going on. She brought her hand back and shot it foreword, sending the puck flying back towards the other side of the table and...off the ridge.
Dee sighed and rested her head on her delicate, pale, hand. This might take a bit more work that she originally thought, but her herd was cheering her on and keeping her interested in the game.
       "Don't worry."
She told them.
"I'll get it sometime and we'll win."
She smiled before looking once again to Lillian and Westlyn.
"So what else do you do around here?"
She asked allowing her hazel eyes to light up and fade to to green with excitement l.
"Do you have a herd too that you roam with? Maybe our herd can meet and we can all head to the plains together! My herd tells me it's beautiful, and they've guided me there before."
Dee smiled dreamily at the thought of the wide open spaces and the tall grass that waved gently in the breeze. She had only been when she was a little girl, but it was one of the few things she still remembered.
       "Well...I have cats at home..."
Westlyn shrugged. Wait. This was the perfect time to ask!
     "Do you have any allergies?"
He wondered, his face beginning to heat up and a light pink tint shading over his cheeks.
"OoOoooO~ you plan on bringing her home?"
Raina cooed, wiggling her eyebrows and grinning wildly.
         "W-what? N-no! I-I would never! I'll have y-you know I'm a gen-gentleman! I have c-cat hair on my clothes!"
Westlyn stumbles drastically over his words with his stutters, completely taken aback by Raina's remark.
Why, he would never do such a thing! He had brought girls to his house but not in which the manner that Raina was referring to. He only let them come over after he tidied up and even then it was supposed to be for studying purposes only. He hadn't even had an official girlfriend in like...ever...
Lillian was in the middle of taking another sip of her soda when Raina blurted her comment, sending Lillian into a spit take.
      "PHHT HAHAHAHA."
She gripped her can one with hand and her stomach with the other.
"Westlyn you should've seen your face!"
She wheezed, fanning her face to stop herself from crying.
       "I-I can't help it! I wasn't expecting that!"
Westlyn cried, motioning with his hands in an awkward fashion.
Dee smiled at Westlyn's question and blushing and opened her mouth to answer but paused as she was cut off by Raina.
She tilted her head at the odd remark and knitted her eyebrows. What was so strange? Dee rather liked cats! She liked meeting cats too! Her parents had tried to get her a cat once, she wasn't sure what happened to it though. She was pretty sure it ran away.
Dee smiled again at Westlyn's stuttering. It was so...unusual to see him do it. He seemed so calm and like he always had everything under control. But she didn't mind it. In fact, it was nice to hear for her. It added character, she thought. Dee blushed and studied his cheeks that had turned to only the loveliest shade of red, and his eyes. He just looked so handsome and sweet. She sighed dreamily and thought about getting to know him.
Her herd began stomping wildly at her thoughts and shook their heads to show their sharp, long horns. The shaggy fur on their head whipped around their faces as they aimed at her. Though she knew they would never do her harm, she didn't like it at all. They were mad at her again, but What had she done?
Lillian's laughter brought Dee back to reality. She giggled lightly and covered her mouth with her hands.
      "I do like cats!"
She said between giggles,
"I think it would be fun to come over and meet them sometime! Have you been over to his house before Raina?"
She asked, turning to her excitedly. Maybe if she had, she could tell Dee all about it!
Her mind wasn't really catching the main point of the laughter at all. She just knew she liked cats and...what was the other one she was about to say? She liked cats and...Westlyn?
Well...yes...but was that what she was thinking of before? She shrugged, saying it out loud always helped.
      "I like cats."
She repeated from before,
      "And I like westlyn!"
No, that wasn't what she was thinking or trying to say, but ... she liked the sentence anyway so she decided to keep it.
