Erick walked around the forest and breathed in the smell of nature. He missed this; the leaves on the ground, birds on their nests, and animals that lurked around.

All of a sudden, he heard some crunching leaves and positioned his gun aiming at the direction to where the sound was coming from.

"Erick!" Laura came out of the open and smiled. "Baby, what are you doing here?"

"I was just roaming." He smiled and kissed her as soon aa Laura approached and huggged him.

"It's dangerous to walk around here, love, you know that. Now, come back to the house." Laura looked at him.

They continued to stroll around the forest as they intertwined their fingers.

"Darling, I love you, but I couldn't stand your sister's nagging." He chuckled as they slowly left the forest and walked through the open. They were a few miles away from Kate's house. Laura suddenly remembered how they met; they were both roaming around and the rest was history.

"I'm sorry about what she said. She didn't mean to." Laura looked down.

"Stop acting like you belong here! You took her away and hid and now you have audacity to do such things! Fuck you and your stuff!" Kate's words hurt Erick and he tried to shrug it off. His family was here for the sake of the pleas his wife made.

"Don't mind her. At least we're happy." He assured her. "What I'm not happy about is Beth's whereabouts here, I don't want her to get hurt or in trouble."

"Beth will be fine." Laura bit her lip. Her daughter's twenty now, she thought about telling her the truth, and she's worried on how her daughter will react.

"We have to tell her soon." Erick stopped walking and looked at her. He caressed her cheesk and smiled.

"Soon." Laura said.

Suddenly, a grey wolf appeared from the forest and it was growling towards Erick. Noticing the gun and the type of bullets in it made it more angrier.

Erick gently shoved Laura behind and aimed its gun towards the animal.

"Erick, whatever you're thinking, do not do it." Laura warned as the two gently stepped back which only made the wolf step forward with a snarl.

Erick chuckled and shook his head, "If that thing steps closer I will not hesitate to pull the trigger. Get back inside, Laura. Tell your sister."

"He's not a rogue, love. Please, leave him alone." Laura pleaded.

"That's what you said last time." Erick focused on the wolf.

Without any warning, the wolf was now on top of his wife and barking at her as drops from its saliva fell down on her face. Laura closed her eyes and inhaled. Something like this would happen, she saw it coming. But this wolf reminded her of someone. Someone she knew very well.

Suddenly, the wolf breathed in her scent and its eyes widened, it stopped growling and focused on her features. As the wolf looked at her, he licked her cheek and placed his head onto her forehead.

He remembers me.

A shot from was heard and wolf fell down on Laura's body.
