LUNA
I felt a warm presence around me. I opened my eyes to see Sol sleeping, holding me like a pillow. His wings tucked neatly over him like a blanket and his tail a heap of fur curled over me. I was curled in his embrace, my tail twined with Sol's tail.
( Silver ears on girl; boy has golden ears and dragon wings tucked over him like blanket)
" How did I end up like this..?" I thought then remembered last night, " That's right, Sol and I spent the night together..." I sighed softly recalling the night. A soft creak came from the door, my ears flicked towards the noise.
" Ugh... It's locked..." A hand slammed against the door. I felt Sol stretching next to me.
" Morning..." he muttered drowsily as he rubbed the sleep from his flame colored eyes. " Who's at the door at this hour?"
" I'll go have a look..." I said and proceeded to get up out of bed.
" Wait, stay here." A wing stopped me from getting up. " I'll go see what it is." Then he got to his feet, stretching his wings to their full length, and stumbled to the door. He groped for the door handle and opened the door only to jump aside as a swift, slender shape fly past him. " Whoa! Watch where you're going!"
" Well, maybe you should have opened the door sooner." the girl splat, getting up from the floor. " Jack wants to see you two." She stormed out the door and down the hallway.
" Looks like we'll have to get ready." Sol said and closed the door. I stood up from the bed and walked into the bathroom.
( One golden brown eye one reddish-brown eye, silver ears, silver tail tip)
I finished my look with a rose pendant on my shirt then walked out of the bathroom. I saw Sol leaning against the door, reading a note . He looked up as I walked up to him.
( Orange eyes, black hair with golden strands woven into it)
" Hey, Luna, ready to go?"
" Lets go." I said and he opened the door, revealing an empty hallway.
" Ladies first." he flicked his tail.
" Thanks." I walked through the door and looked. " Um... Sol... Which way?"
" This way," a wing guided my to the right and down the hallway. " I know where it is." As we walked into a crowded, I felt a sea of eyes watch us.
" So that's the new person?! He's a dragon wolf!" I heard a couple of girls squealing with excitement while some of the boys just stared at me.
" This is really uncomfortable..." I thought and looked at Sol, he seemed perfectly fine and at ease. Almost as if he was used to dealing with this. " Sol... How long was I out for?" I looked at him.
" Oh, not... too long..." he said and looked away.
" You seem to be comfortable despite everyone staring at the two of us." I pressed on. " It takes a while for that to happen."
" You've been out for several weeks...." he muttered.
" SEVERAL WEEKS?!" I thought, " Why?" I kept these thoughts to myself; soon, we reached a door. " This is it." Sol knocked on the door.
" Come in." a voice answered from inside.
" Come on, let's go." He lead me inside. The room was a luxurious study, a fireplace crackled on the far wall and the other two walls were covered in scrolls and books.
" You two must be Luna and Sol." a human sat at a desk next to the fire. He walked over to us. " I'm Jack, the leader of this place, if anything happens within these walls,; I'll know about it." I caught a strange scent raiding off the human.
" Well, we hope we're not disturbing anything." Sol said, " We won't be staying for long. We just need enough time to recover that's all."
" You're welcome to stay as long as you'd like, this place is a shelter for half breeds like us after all." Jack said, a tail-like thing flicked behind him.
" Wait... This is a place for half breeds?!" I whispered. " But then that means... Jack's a hybrid as well! That's why there was that strange scent around him." Sol glanced at me.
" Of course, Luna. How else would we have gotten in here in wolf form?" he retorted and turned to Jack, " Thanks." Jack nodded, his tail hidden in the shadows of the study. I saw a glimmer of sharp spikes on the tail.
" No problem. " He said with a flick of his tail. Then a dark spike flew past me and impaled the wall behind me. Jack yelped and turned to try and stop his tail. " Sorry about that, I'm still getting used to this half breed thing myself." I flicked my tail in surprise.
" You're new to this? You seem to be great at disguises." I said, intrigued, " I could help you control your abilities and you can help us disguise as humans."
" Luna, why would we need to do that?" Sol nudged my with his arm. " We don't need to go to the human cities!"
" We could use it to get away from pursuers and discover the human worlds as well." I turned to him and said. " We can't stay hidden forever."
" You're right." Sol agreed with a nod. " I'll teach him a thing or two on climbing and attacks, I'm not sure what you can offer..."
" I can teach him to use his tail and combat with it." I responded. Sol looked confused but didn't object.
" Okay, deal." Jack said and smiled. " The techniques they teach here don't suit me any way. I always end up tripping over my tail or getting it stuck on something. Half of the training area's open tomorrow. We can train then, who wants to start?" Sol and I looked at each other.
" I'll start." Sol said and chuckled nervously. " It will be a warm up to Luna's training, I guess."
" Huh??" Jack looked confused.
" Just be ready for training tomorrow..." Sol said. " Luna may be nice and shy but when it comes to training, she is a powerful and strong willed wolf, she will do anything to get you to remember the lessons she teaches."
" Oh, okay, I'll be ready then." Jack said nervously
