LUNA
I quietly opened the door to my room. It was pretty much empty, except for a bed against one wall and a balcony facing the west. A window stood against the third wall, facing the battle arena.
" Finally..." I sighed, stretching, " I have some time alone.. I haven't have that in a while." I recalled the time I spent with Sol. " We were always together..." I thought, " Was that the right thing to do?" I began to doubt my decision to leave Sol, " Of course it is. After all, I never told him that I liked him back. It's his fault to believe in something that wasn't real." I settled down onto the bed and allowed my thought to run wild, but instead of going all over the place, they all ran to one thing. " Blood, why do I keep thinking about you? When will you come to find me? I can't go back with you.. They won't accept me..." I rolled back onto my bed. " Ugh... Why? Why do you keep crossing my mind?!" I howled. My ears flicked up as I heard a knock at the door.
" Hey, Luna? You in there?" Jack's voice called from outside. I rolled onto my side.
" I'm here!" I responded and went to get the door.
" Just so you know, there's a dance tonight in the ballroom." Jack said, flicking his tail. " Maybe you'll go..?"
" I'll think about it..." I responded, detecting the uneasiness in Jack's voice. " If I don't have anything planned then I'll go." He nodded.
" Hope to see you there, Luna" He called over his shoulder as he walked away.
" Well, guess I better get ready." I thought as I looked through my room for something to wear.
I walked out to the balcony latter that day, brushing my hair.
" This dress took forever to find!" I stretched, breathing the forest scents the wind carried. " The forest... A place of shadows and joy." I smiled softly as I watched the moon rise. " He's also there... Blood's there..." I shook my head, " No! Now's not the time for that!" I gazed back up at the moon, blinking. " Why do the shadows on the moon remind me of a wolf dog?!" I shook myself again, the figure remained on the moon. My eyes widened as a sudden darkness glazed over my eyes. Sol's voice rang in my ears.
" I should have known better than to try and change fate..." his whisper echoed in my mind. " Blood's your mate... I knew I should haven't messed with it... Destiny can't be changed.." I blinked, I was standing back on the balcony, under the moon with the wolf-dog shadow.
" Sol knew all along..?" I whispered, " Then, why did he try to change it?"
I heard a faint howl that made my ears prick.
" What was that?" I listened again and heard the howl again. " No way! I can hear the Pack howls from here?!" I leaned against the balcony railing. " Wait... It's only one wolf though... How is this possible?!... It's probably nothing..." I turned tail and headed back inside. " I'm probably hearing things."
