Baltimore?!

I couldn't believe it. My breath hitched in my throat and I stopped breathing. My face must have been changing colours faster than a gobstopper. I was actually talking to her, Stella. She wasn't ignoring me.

"Stella? Is that really you?" I asked, still not believing the voice on the other line.

"No Josh, it's actually Tux." She said sarcastically. "Yes it's me!!"

From the opposite end of the conversation I could hear chuckles. Not just hers, but also a man's. Who was she with? Was she actually in Baltimore? How was she calling me?

"Stella, Katarina told me you were in Baltimore..." I started.

"Yeah! I am! I know, it's amazing right? I never thought my dancing would go this far. I've had so much fun being in this video, I've been hanging out with the band and they're..."

I zoned out. Not purposely, but I did. She was actually in Baltimore? And she didn't tell me before she left? My heart plummeted. Did she not share my feelings? I guess not, considering she up and left without telling me. But the band. That was what was bothering me most. It was most likely guys, guys that would be constantly flirting with her no doubt. I mentally scanned a list of bands I knew but none of them were from Baltimore. Maybe they were just filming there? No, of course they had to be from there. My thoughts kept on like this until a name caught my attention.

"And Jack is so funny. He always makes really dirty jokes, but they're hilarious. I think you'd like him a lot..."

"Wait, Stella, Jack who?" I asked down the line.

I could faintly hear her huff. "Josh? Weren't you listening at all? No, don't anwer that, you were probably off in your own thoughts. I told you a couple minutes ago, I'm working with All Time Low. And Jack is the guitarist."

Realisation suddenly hit me. Of course! All Time Low! How could I have missed them? We had a possible tour coming up with them, These Kids Wear Crowns, and Simple Plan. Duh! They were good, and apparently really funny according to Stella.

"I'm sorry Stella, you're right, I did zone out. So, you're working with All Time Low, eh? That's great! Do you like they're music?"

"Of course! I love them Josh! They're one of my favourite bands!"

I raised an eyebrow. "Okay, so you've heard of them before but you'd never heard of Marianas Trench?"

She giggled. "Sorry Josh, I only know them because my cousin dragged me out to some private Hustler club thing with her...Also, to be fair, I had heard of Marianas Trench, I'd just never heard your songs or anything."

I laughed. "Yeah okay Stella. I'll forgive you this once. So, do you have a favourite?"

She laughed softly. "Well, not really but I like Alex a tiny bit better than the rest. I think it's just because I can connect with him."

I racked my brains to try and figure out how exactly Stella could connect with the lead singer of a band. Was it maybe just they're interests? No, Stella didn't have many common interests with a lot of bands...Oh right, she was English too. She moved when she was four, so she doesn't remember much, but she does remember bits and pieces. Well that makes sense.

"Yeah, probably. When do you think you'll be back?" I asked casually, but of course I was actually eager to learn this little tid-bit.

"Well, after we finish the music video they said they had time off so they're coming back down with me and we can all hang out. Is that okay?"

I smiled. "Yeah, that's fine. At least you won't be completely alone if I have to go into the studio one day."

"I like going to the studio with you, you're so into your music, it's nice to see. Not many people have that much passion in their work." She said sweetly.
