Half way through our "study session" which was actually just Harlow planning most of it and me thinking about food and what we could eat later, my little brother was walking down the stairs when he called out to me. "RUTH I'M HUNGRY"
"BUDDY STOP YELLING I'M RIGHT HERE" I yelled back to him.
"WELL, THEN WHY ARE YOU YELLING" he yelled back again at me even though he was standing in front of where we were sitting on the lounge room floor.
"I don't know you started it, what do you want to eat? Dad won't be home until late tonight." I said as I look at Harlow who just looked amused by our behaviour.
"ohhhh pizza!!" My brother said excitedly while running over and tackling me till my back hit the carpet on the floor.
"Okay, okay get off or I'll tickle you, mister," I said with an evil smile.
"NOOO GET AWAY" Auggie squealed as he quickly got off me to run behind Harlow who was trying not to laugh at us.
"don't hide behind him he's no use," I said with a smirk in Harlow direction my little brother still hiding behind him for safety.
"Hey, I so am in use," Harlow said in a fake offence.
"Hmm," I mused to him while nodding my head sarcastically.
"Okay, I'll go order, oh and you're staying for dinner right?" I ask Harlow as my brother started to squeal.
"yeah stay I can show you my lego collection," my brother told Harlow excitedly.
I silently laughed that once my brother started talking about his lego there was no going back now, so I ordered the pizza and went back in the lounge room to see Harlow and my brother building something out of lego I watched in awe at good Harlow was with my brother.
About 10 minutes later the door rang thinking it was the pizza I ran to the door with the money for the pizza but to my surprise, it wasn't the pizza dude. It was Finch.
"Hey, what are you doing here," I ask a little surprised he only ever showed up to my house when he needed something from me usually we went out somewhere.
"can't I come visit my girlfriend at her house," he says as he leans in to kiss me but I keep it short but not so sweet.
"you cant come in right now," I said to him trying my best to get him away
"why not," he says with a forced smile.
"Um, I kinda busy right now I'm studying with a friend and looking after my brother" I say trying to keep him out of the house but he just walked straight through the door and I followed a little nervous he was in the house with my brother, August didn't really like finch that much.
"Oh, a friend huh?" He said sarcastically while turning his head to look at me for a second before introducing himself.
Harlows POV
When we heard the door bell ring we just assume it was the pizza so I continued to play lego with Auggie who seem to have the wildest imagination which made me laugh. I stopped what I was doing when I heard Ruth talking to someone who didn't sound like a pizza delivery person.
The guy ruth was talking to walk into the house as both I and Auggie stood up, sensing Auggie a little nervous he half hid behind me. weird.
"Oh, a friend huh?" The guy said to ruth as she looks a little hesitant.
"Finch we're just doing a school project," she said nonchalantly but I notice something else as she keeps looking at the brother behind me.
"well hi I'm Finch, Ruths boyfriend," he said to me as he held his hand out to shake with a sly grin.
