Heather's POV
"Again" Michael said leaning against the far wall. My fists ached as I punched more into the punched bag. We've rotated from knifes to fists in the last hour and Michael said I wasn't to touch a gun until I truly grasped how to handle knives. Sweat was pouring from my forehead until I gave up too exhausted to carry on.
"Have a break. Come back in two hours, ice your knuckles." He tossed an ice bag across the room. I mumbled and pressed the bag against my bruised knuckles, wincing slightly. Bob never let me had a break, he'd push me till I broke. However I found myself In the library looking at various books. As a little girl I read so much as Gerard never let me out of the house. The door behind me opened slightly.
"I knew I'd find you here." Michael walked over to me and grasped my hands gently investigating how bad the bruising was.
"Bob won't let me let you rest for the day, but we can still train without using your hands for today." He whispered as If the non existence librarian would pop out of nowhere.
"What do you have in mind then?" I answered back, Michael looked towards the shelves and began to search the abundance of books. He pulled out many books and then we began more learning about various poisons and their side effects. I liked the time I spent with Michael over these few weeks, the way his forehead would crease when he concentrates or when I catch him wearing his glasses which he didn't need due to his vampire eyesight but it was cute. A part of me knew the glasses was Michaels way of being normal, how they somewhat distracted himself of what he was. I read a book that night to bed, summarizing every poison. Booming voices came down the hallway of Michael and Bob arguing. I knew I shouldn't take notice but curiosity got the best of me. I climbed out of bed, opening my bedroom door a crack the voices were more clear.
"You need to push her more Michael, or Frank won't be pleased with her!" Bob exclaimed.
"So what do you want me to do, fuck her senseless like you did. You've broken her spirit and now I have to train her into this cold murder! I'm the one trying to fix her, fix what you did!" Michaels voice rose which vibrated the walls slightly. It was frightening to hear the rage in his voice but I could hear Bob getting tired of Michaels shit.
"Do whatever you want Michael it won't matter in the end, just don't get attached to her. Or I'll get you out the door and someone more stricter and cruel to train her." Bobs footsteps rang off in the distance. I pushed the door open more to see Michael standing right outside the door.
"You should be resting. Not hearing our conversion." Michael frowned.
"Shouldn't I be trained in eavesdropping?" I asked innocently which made Michael scoff and walk off to his quarters. That night I tossed and turned and barely slept.

Hopes POV
I carried groceries into Tyler's house, it was the least I could do as all I've done over these few weeks were just sitting around brooding. Vic went out and hunted or barely stuck around. He was meant to be free not be stuck indoors.
"Maybe you could take a walk? You need to boost your vampire skills, who knows what you need to go through to get your sister." Tyler unpacked the plastic bags.
"You mean, I might need to kill someone, that I can do." I mumbled. Vic came bounding into the kitchen, puffed but eagerly trying to catch his breath.
"I.... Just.... Saw...." He wheezed, I waited till he caught his breath and passed him a drink of water.
"Bob entered a car with someone in the back seat. Whoever it was they were very important, there were Vamps everywhere around the car." He stated.
"Maybe its the high Vampire?" Tyler stated with a slight shrug. It wasn't great news but it meant that Bob had to live close by since he wouldn't of traveled this far near the outskirts. Not when there were uncivilized werewolves roaming the forests. Once unpacking the food with Tyler I ran upstairs to plan to get into training to prepare myself for whatever was going to come.
