Chapter One

6 years later...

Hope's POV

The woods were extremely cold in the winter and it didn't help that Kellin wanted me to train out here.
Great 16th birthday Hope. Because I wanted to go out in the freezing cold for my birthday. The bushes rustle and I took a step back. A wolf jumped infront of me and transformed.

"Jesus Vic you scared me." I say to Vic. Vic Fuentes migrated from Mexico after some massive vampire/Werewolf riot. Thousands were slaughtered but Vic got out luckily. He chuckled to himself.

"Sorry Hope. Shouldn't you be celebrating with Kellin?" He asked me. I shook my head as my black hair hung infront of my face. I flicked it out the way and continued on the path with Vic.

"You shouldn't be hard on Kellin. He's been through hell." He says. I scoffed at that remark. Kellin Quinn gave everyone a bad time or maybe it was because of me. I've heard him on several occasions that he didn't wish to look after me. Vic shivered beside me as the cold breeze blew. We walked in silence until the wind was unbearable and a blizzard was coming. We headed back to the old house and took refuge. Kellin dashed down the stairs towards us.

"There better be a good reason why you are back." He said furiously.

"There's a blizzard coming Kellin. The kid would of froze to death." Vic said. Kellin rubbed the back of his neck and let out a small sigh. He motioned Vic away to talk so I stood there staring at the ground.

"Hope meet me in the main room." Kellin said leaving. I made my way to the main room where all the meetings where held. I remember as a little kid, I would sneak in just to watch the meetings till I got caught by Kellin. He would throw me out every single time and I kept going back. I took a seat at the table as Kellin walked in. He closed the door and sat opposite me.

"Hope I'm pretty sure you want to know about your past." He said to me. I took a deep breath and nodded.

"Your Father was being chased by the elders for killing The First. He came to my quarters late at night with you and told me to keep you hidden till he came back with your mother." He spoke. I felt anger and sadness build up.

"I'm 16 so where the hell are they!?!" I slammed my fist down on the table.

"They were executed that night but there's one thing you need to know." He said to me. I looked at him as he stared at me.

"Hope... You have a twin sister..."
