We arrive at Ashley's place, and his mom was already standing outside waiting to greet us both. I also smelt ziti and crab legs cooking. This woman sure knows how to make a girl happy and feel welcome.
"Hey you two!" Ms. Williams says, giving Ash a hug and air kissing me.
"Hello Ms. Williams, how are you?" I ask politely.
"I'm doin' just fine sugar. And please, feel free to call me Amy!" she says smiling.
Ashley and I head towards the back patio to brush up on our songs we're doing for our guitar project. Everything went pretty smooth, and once again, Ashley showed off his beautiful voice again. This guy obviously doesn't know what he does to a girl.
"Why did you stop singing?" I groaned.
"Haha! I'll sing more next time!...So, I was thinking of dissing homecoming to hang out with you guys at Ryan's place..." Ashley says, looking at the sky.
"Oh. Well you're more than welcome to. But what is Selly gonna say or do about that?" I ask, worried. The last thing I wanna deal with is her BS and having to fight a hoe.
"I honestly don't know yet. Tickets go on sale next week and she's buying them." He sighs.
"Well, she can always take Lulu if you do decide to bail" I say jokingly.
We both laugh as Amy pokes her head out of the door. "Its time to eat you two. I'm sure you'll like this dish, Lizzie." She says jokingly.
I blush as we walk inside. Dinner was great, as usual. Ziti and crab legs is an unusual combo, but what the hell? Of course, me being the "fat ass" that I am, had seconds. Once again, Amy made me a to go plate.
"Damn, girl can eat!" Ashley says laughing.
"Shut up! Haha you moms a great cook! Plus, I know I'd never starve to death over here...unlike at my house..." I say, getting kind of upset.
"D'aww thanks sugar! I try. Cooking school sure payed off for me!" Amy says, laughing.
Ashley and I walk outside and sit on the front steps of his house. He was awkwardly silent, like he was thinking of something in the back of his head to say. I got kinda worried, like I did something wrong. he finally grabbed my hand and looked at me.
"Uh...I was wondering if maybe...well I know you don't get along with your family too well and I'm sure you don't wanna deal with their shit for a whole weekend, or any day in general really...maybe you could spend the night here for a night? If you want? Not pressuring you or any-" I cut Ash off, before he had a nervous breakdown or a panic attack.
"Haha! Ash, it's fine! I guess I could stay here one night. Thats very sweet of you to offer." I say, smiling.
"Well then! It's settled! That was easier than I thought." He said, walking me back inside while holding my hand.
I just looked at him funny, since I didn't know what he meant by that. As we walked back inside, his mom gave us a funny look and looked at us holding hands. Ashley blushed and I quickly let go. He was too cute for words! this reminds me, I had to tell Ari everything as soon as possible!
"Well aren't you two adorable?" Amy jokes.
"Haha mom...uh anyways, Lizzie is staying over tonight if thats ok with you?" Ashley asks.
"Why of course, love! You're welcome to stay all weekend if you want! Unfortunately, we don't have a guest room, just a living room with 2 sofas, and a pull out massage chair." Amy says.
"It's ok. I'm only staying for tonight. I made plans with Ari tomorrow evening, and I'd need to be home after that for some family business." I explain.
