As the final bell rang for everyone to go home, I raced out of my gym class and headed straight towards Ari's car, where she was waiting for me.

"You're SO lucky you have gym LAST period!" She whines.

"Dude! You JUST got your schedule fixed to have it in th emiddle of the day, haha. What more do you want?" I say jokingly.

Ari gives me an evil glare and I just laugh as we get in the car. Then, Ashley runs up to the car as we're pulling out. Confused, Ari pulls back in and looks over at me. I was pretty confused myself, and startled. I slowly get out and stand in front of the car as Ashley approaches me.

"Hey!" He says smiling at me.

"Hey...whats up?" I say, trying not to make eye contact with his gorgeous face.

"About that project...Uh, I was wondering if maybe...you wanted to start on it? Today?" He says rather quickly, while looking around.

"Um, sure. Want to meet up at the park or your house, where its private?" I quickly clap my hand over my mouth. Well...shit! NOT your house! The park! Or somewhere public!" I say quickly.

Ashley just stared at me with an eyebrow raised for a second. He then burst into laughter at my stupidity. "You're something else!" He says jokingly.

"Er...Ari's waiting...did you want to come with us?" I ask, looking at Ari who was smirking at me. I roll my eyes and look back over to Ash.

"Haha, that won't be necessary. Thank you though! I'll drive, and you could meet my mom. We can work on the project there." He says.

I quickly look helplessly at Ari, who seemed to be enjoying every minute of this. "Well then...Have fun you two horn dogs! Text me later, Lizzie Lizzzz" She says, winking at me as she drives off.

I roll my eyes and sigh. "Well, lets go, I guess..." I say, looking at the ground.

"My house it is!" Ashley says, winking at me. I just blush and look down.

As we're walking over to his car, I stop dead in my tracks. Ashley also stops and looks at me.

"You ok?" He asked concerned. Then he noticed I was drooling over his car, and he laughed.

"You like what you see?" He asks.

"Uh, YEAH? Dude! This is a 99 Pontiac Grand Am!" I exclaim.

"Haha yeah. It runs pretty good too. Good on gas and everything. It was originally blue, but I spray painted it black and added neon red stripes." He explains. "I didn't know you were into cars?" He asks, shocked.

"Haha yeah. Most girls aren't... I get it from my uncle. He is a mechanic and he even collects cars." I say.

"No way! Haha I have to meet this guy one day!" Ash says, smiling.

"Haha yeah..." I say trailing off. I didn't really have anything else to say.

As we got in his car and drove out of the school parking lot, it was pretty silent. Except for the radio, which was blasting 'Pain' by Three Days Grace. I loved this song. I didn't even notice Ashley was watching me headbang and flail my arms like a weirdo. I heard him snicker and quickly sat like a statue, blushing mad hard.

"Hahaha! It's whatever. Be yourself. You're having fun, right?" He says, comforting me.

"Bahaha, I was..." I say, looking down out the window.

"You don't have to be afraid. Haha, I thought it was cute. Don't worry." He says, lightly patting my leg. I feel my stomach jump, and my heart skip a beat. I HAD to text Ari after this.
