-Hermione-
Three days later I still hadn´t spoken a single word to Draco. I had concentrated on finding a way to destroy that damn locket so we would be on step further in the right direction. The tension in our little circle had grown rapidly since Ron seemed to dislike Draco more by the second and so did Draco. The presence of the locket didn´t affect them too much anymore as Harry and I decided they shouldn´t wear it for now. But the less it affected the two of them, the more it did its magic on Harry and me. Harry´s thoughts seemed to get darker and more depressive every time he wore the locket. My voice got meaner and crueler whenever the locket hung around my neck. However for me the horror didn´t stop whenever I took off the piece of dark magic as it did when Harry did so. My voice was always present at daytime, followed by a sleepless, nightmare haunted night.
It was night when we were sitting at the table, having our first meal for that day. We, in this case, included Ron and me as Harry was mount guarding and Draco never left our room anymore when he didn´t need to. I was still mad at him for being so careless and cruel so I kept ignoring him. But what bothered me the most was that he didn´t seem to care.
“Giv´ me ´fe salt, ´er-my-knee?”, Ron asked with an overfilled mouth, almost spitting out his already chewed food.
Giving him a look worthy Professor McGonagall I reached him the salt.
“Wha-?”, he questioned, lifting his hands in defeat.
“Nothing, Ronald. I was just wondering- Harry must be hungry…I better bring him some food as well”, I stood, preparing a plate for my best friend.
Ron simply shrugged and returned his attention to the food in his hands. This boy- I shook my head.
“Thanks”, muttered Harry when I handed him the plate.
Quietly I sat down next to him, watching him eat in silence. When he was finished he put down the plate and sighed, leaning back at the entrance of the tent.
“We should be leaving soon”, he stated seriously, his gaze losing itself somewhere in the air. “We´ve been here for too long”
I remained silent. I knew he was right but his voice told me there was more to come and I didn´t like that. However I didn´t ask as Harry seemed to sort his thoughts.
“The only problem is: we still don´t know how to destroy the locket, neither what the other Horcruxes are and where to find them”, Harry sighed again. “If we only had a basilisk fang-“
“Oh my gosh”, I interrupted him.
“What?”, Harry asked bewilderedly.
“That´s brilliant, Harry!”, I exclaimed, rushing inside the tent, followed by Harry.
“What is brilliant, Hermione?”, Harry asked, while I looked through my book, sitting down at the table opposite Ron.
“What is it with you two?”, Ron laughed bewilderedly, looking from me to Harry and back again.
“Dunno”, Harry took a seat next to Ron.
Both of them watched me expectantly, none of them knowing what I was talking about. I however, felt a wave of happiness rushing through my body when I found the page I was looking for.
“The sword of Gryffindor”, I said excitedly, “It´s Goblin made”
Harry and Ron eyed me as though I had gone mad and when they didn´t react I sighed, smiling.
“Don´t you understand? Dirt and rust have no effect on the blade. It only takes in that what makes it stronger!”, I explained.
However my friends didn´t seem to get it though and I continued.
