Late one fateful night, around a decade and a half proir to Edward and Éclair's meeting, the existing humuncoli gathered in their underground hideout. There was so much to discuss yet so little time.

"Her. It must be her." The further lead a lady with silky black hair and bright glassy ocean blue eyes into their lair. Everyone turned and admired her. She was definitly not one of them.

"Is she...?"

"Wow what a beauty..."

"Can I eat her?"

"Not nearly as gorgous as I am."

"Amazing how much she can change in eighty-nine years."

The further ignored all their comments while he walked up to Father, "I found the lady you wished for."

The Father looked to the lady and smiled. She didn't look pleased to be there, "ah, took us nearly a century to locate you. Your immortality isn't a gift. Stealing it would not help you any."

"I can try." She pouted, "I'm sick of your games. I already am playing house with pretending that I have a son named Envy. What else could you possibly want? I told you I have a single goal, and that's to track down that child."

Father just laughed at her, "you never think, do you? We need someone who is half-human, for if anyone is to find out how to rid us, we'll need someone who is resistant to it."

"So you want me to let her live once I find her?!" The lady screamed, "you're crazy! She's the downfall of all of us! I was given a single mission from X for my immortality, and I plan to fulfill it and keep my immortality!"

"Not at all. We'll see if she's deemed fit for the job. Besides, we've heard rumors another is after her." Father spoke as a young man stepped out of the shadows. He had white blonde hair and beady dark purple eyes. Although he was of normal stature for someone around his age, fourteen give or take a year, he had a nice mark with a dragon spiraling around it on his upper left arm, a few inches below his shoulder. He was one of them too. He even dressed like them, wearing a black tank top and pants.

"Protego, what are you doing here?" The lady asked.

"Making sure the job gets done. After all, that girl you're after is rather...crafty. Besides, someone's after you as well. While it took some time, I was able to track you down, and locate the girl, and the two they sent after to retrieve her. Don't make me call him to come get you, Allison."

"Just who's after me now?" She spat in return as the boy walked up to her and moved aside her dark hair, revealing she as well had the same mark on the back of her neck.

"Carter."

"He's gone. Long gone. You of all people should've known what your father has done. It was I that sacrificed myself to save him, only for your father to do his own filthy deeds."

Protego shook his head, "He's not what I'm worried about. It's the girl. Had it been the boy, he would've been an easy target to eliminate. After all, he's just a child. This girl however...we didn't predict she was this arrogant, irrational, and rash in her actions. As much as we'd like to take her out on the spot, we've worked out a little deal. We need to bait out her accomplices who are going for her rescue, since they'll know where she's keeping what we lost."

"What did we lose?"

"Oh, just roughly eight-hundred stones!" Protego sneered, "And if she won't give them to us, those accomplices that are looking for her will. And we know she's going to be coming to this time soon, so we've worked out a deal."

"What's said deal?"

"We want to study her." Father spoke, "So, in order to allow you to return home with your lost goods, we want you to find her, watch over her, and protect her for five years. She's got severe memory loss. If not, you won't be able to return and we'll use you for our goal. You ought to be good at being a mother, I heard you had two kids of your own. This time you'll have the one. We even have her right here." Father motioned to what looked like a pile of curtains. The curtains were drawn back to reveal a man and a woman locked in a cage, the man holding what seemed like a small bundle of blankets, but it was very clear that bundle of blankets was a child. "That man there, he won't let go of the child. And we are interested. It's not every day we're hand delivered a humoncolus. As much as we are interested in her, we'd rather study her for five years. Besides, the promised day isn't for a while, we're simply not ready. We have yet to find that dear Hoenheim. Last I heard he was getting busy with a mere human like yourself."

The lady didn't even question this, "done. Anything to get away from you creeps. I'm not getting younger nor older so let me leave! And after you're done studying her or if she goes rogue, I'm the one who gets to eliminate her. As. Ordered."

It was a young kid who walked into the room. The kid's hair was a tad bit too long, fanning out like a palm tree, "are you my mother?" The kid asked, looking at the lady.

The lady looked away, "I don't know who you are." Although she knew the kid. The kid was Envy. The child she was pretending to be the mother of at the time.
