Envy sighed as Al-yumi made us all sit down. Ed still had his arm around me afraid of anything that could happen. I kept my hand in his just in case anything would happen. Ayumi then proceeded to make tea. I guess even she knew that something was up and that this was bad.
Making tea, just in case it was needed to calm down.
Quite a lot of things done just 'in case,' huh.
Envy looked to Regret as she looked to her feet. Something was troubling her definitely. She sat across from Ed and I with Envy next to her. I've never even seen her so troubled, even all those years ago when she was trying to battle me for being the dominate version of Regret-Éclair.
"Something particular went missing about two days ago." Envy stated flat out.
"Huh?" I shrugged, "things go missing all the time. I get it. The further sent you to go tell me to go find it. That's how things around here work, don't they?"
Regret shook her head, "no no no, it didn't go missing it was stolen and we need it back Éclair! We need it back!" She was half in tears. She really was more troubled than I had anticipated. Luckily Ayumi brought out a tray of tea, handing each one of us a cup and a saucer. She was all fancy for the time.
Envy spoke again, "You ever heard of the vial?"
I raise an eyebrow, "the vial?"
"The vial." Envy repeated again. The look in his eyes startled me. I had never seen that look before.
Regret nods, "the vial. The vial is said to hold the memories of a lost humuncolus. We had it in our possession until two days ago. Now it's gone. The further was supposed to debrief you on this, but he thought it'd be better if we said something first. We need to find it. It's top priority. All of us are searching for it. We have no idea where it went." Regret's hands were nervously shaking as she held her teacup, trying to prevent tea from sloshing out of the cup and on to the saucer or her lap below.
"Does our father have anything to do with it?" Ed balled his fists.
"Surprisingly no. Even he knows the importance of the vial and how it being lost is a danger to all we know."
I sigh, "Then there's only one person who'd steal it, whatever it is. And I know exactly who she is."
"Who's that?" Ayumi asked as she sipped her tea.
I gave Envy and Regret a glare, "and you already know that. You already knew who it was. You want me to go find her since I'm the only one who can freely move around and the only one she'll talk to, since she not only hates me the most but hates everything I have become. I'm also the only one she'll talk to and possibly negotiate with. That's sick."
Al now looked to me, "and that is?"
Ed nodded, "It's her."
"I thought I could finally escape her...guess not." I sighed, "She's back."
"Who?!" Alyumi asked.
I exhaled deeply before using my lovely light lavender eyes to give perhaps my worst glare ever to Alyumi. I was sickened to my stomach now. I wasn't able to form the words for a second until they finally came out sounding just as sick as I felt on the insides.
"My mother."
