My Brother's Bestfriend (Jimin Fanfiction)

Chapter Six

((((I first wanted to say, I am sorry for updating late. I was extremely busy today so I didn't get to start on these chapters until later.  And I will continue to be busy this whole week, so if I am not able to update, bear with me. I will do my best tho, I promise. If there is any grammatical errors, it is because I made these chapters at midnight and it is absolutely freezing in my room right now. Not the best chapters but I did my best for tonight. ;-) Enjoy!)))

Elizabeth P.O.V

I woke up the next morning with my eyes puffy. I glanced over and noticed Jimin wasn't in my bed anymore. I looked at my watched and saw it was 7:30 in the morning. I tried to go back to sleep but couldn't. Bored out of my mind, I decided that I would go see if my brother was awake so I could hang out with him until everyone else woke up. I would've hung out with Jimin but I felt embarrassed that I woke him up in the middle of the night over a dream. I also didn't think he would want to see me again, he was probably mad at me for waking him up. 

I snuck down the hallway to Tae's door and knocked lightly. 

"Taetae?" I whispered

"It's open."

I walked in and saw Tae on the phone. 

"Yea, man, that is awesome....Yea of course we will come.... What time?....Five. Okay we will be there...Good luck...Alright, see you later." Tae hung up the phone.

"Who was that?" I asked

"Do you remember Got7?" Tae asked me

"Are you kidding me? Of course I do! I was in love with them for the longest time. Bam Bam is my bae!" 

"Okay. Well, they are performing at the convention tomorrow night. They invited us to come." Tae explains. 

"Ohhhh yay! I'm so ready!" I responded while squealing. 

"Liz! Keep it down! You're gonna wake up Suga and it will not be good for you, I promise." 

"Oops. Sorry."

"So, what happened last night?" Tae asked in all seriousness. I frozed and looked at him. 

"W-what are you talking about?" Dang it, I stuttered. 

"Earlier this morning, Jimin came in my room and asked me to check on you and make sure you were okay. He said he had to leave to run some errands so he wouldn't be able to stay with you. He was really worried about you. He said something about you waking up screaming and crying because of a bad dream. He said you stayed awake for hours and just cried and shook. What happened, sissy?"

I told him the whole story of my dream and left nothing out. 

"Whoa. Just know that Jimin isn't going anywhere. He cares for you too much to go anywhere. He wouldn't let a bullet take him away from you." Tae explained with sincerity as I scrolled through twitter. I saw a post that Jimin had just made that had some other girl kissing him on the cheek. It was captioned: 'Hanging out with this beauty.' I recognized the girl. It was Violet. Feeling hurt, I looked up at Tae. 

"I figured out what his 'errand' was." I showed him the picture. 

"Liz..." I just walked out his room. I know I shouldn't have been jealous. I had no right to be. We weren't together or anything. I guess it was more of the aggravation of he was 'hanging out' with her even though she cheated on him. I would've never cheated on him. But she was much prettier than I was. And, apparently to him, much more irresistible. 

I knew I had to get out of that place. I couldn't stay there anymore. I was stupid to think that anything could possibly work between us. I needed to stop feeling sorry for myself and needed to take action in my life instead of sitting back and crying. I walked straight to my room, took a shower, and got dressed. That day, I was gonna find a different job, a better job. 

About four hours into searching for a job, I decided to take a break for the day. I saw a newspaper on the bench that I had walked past. Not thinking too much about it, I picked it up and started aimlessly looking through it when I saw a section title named "Hiring Jobs". I started looking at all of the jobs that were listed when I saw that a major law firm in our town was in need of a secretary. I typed the number in my phone and immediately called the law firm. 

"Brown's Law Firm. How can I help you?" A really sweet and gentle voice answered the phone. 

"Yes, I noticed y'all have a job opening and need someone to fill that spot."

"Yes. We are in need of a new secretary, assistant, janitor, and lawyers."

"Well, I can work anywhere you need me." The voice on the other side of the phone laughed. 

"What is your name?"

"Elizabeth Taylor."

"Well why don't you come in tomorrow for a job interview. How about 8:00?"

"Yes. Perfect. Thank you so much ma'am. You have a great day."

"You too, sweetie."

I hung up the phone and did a happy dance. Well, that was until everybody turned and looked at me like I was an alien. 

"Oops. Sorry." I walked back to my car and headed home. 

"Where were you??" Tae asked me as soon as I got home. 

"Aww. Did you miss me?

"I was worried sick! You just left the house without telling me anything!!" Startled and angry that he yelled at me, I snapped back at him. 

"Sorry, dad . I didn't know I needed your permission to go somewhere." I scoffed

"You don't. But at least let me know when you do go somewhere. I didn't know if you were okay or not." Tae tries to explain. I laughed humorlessly.

"Oh, I bet you did so much to find out if I was or not. I bet you didn't even leave the house."

"..."

"Exactly. You do not get to talk to me like a child. If you really were worried, you could have got ahold of me!"

"I did! I called several times! You never answered any of my calls! But I would've never had to call and ask where you went if you would've just told me in the first place!!!"

"Oh my god Tae! You are not my father! My father died decades ago! Stop acting like you can control me!!!"

"Liz-"

"Maybe I just needed to get out! Maybe I went looking for a new job! I lost my apartment recently, my job sucks and isn't paying me crap, I am behind on so many bills, they are about to come and take my car because I haven't been able to pay, and the love of my life just screwed up and got back with his ex who hurt him and there isn't anything I can do about it except sit back and have my heart break as I watch him hurt again when she uses him for the umpteenth time!" I took a deep breath. 

"I just needed to get away and try to get my life back in order." I choked on my tears. "And the last thing I need is you screaming at me as soon as I make it back home." With that, I went to room and locked the door behind me.
