Glenn and I had decided not to notify anyone of the crazy lady we bumped into because she was dead now, no one could do anything anyway. But right now, we were listening to Maggie talk about the garden crops and how it's taking too long to yield.
The three of us were looking out the window, just watching the new improved Alexandria. Just in time to see Denise and Abraham running into the basement of the townhouse. I looked at Glenn. "You go, I'll stay here with Maggie and Enid."
"Are you sure?" I asked him and he nodded with a warm smile.
I ran over to the townhouse to see the others crowded around a table. There was a man with a beanie on his head and he had a bushy but neat beard. His name was Jesus.
"I'm part of a community that raise livestock and crops. I searrch for others to trade with." Jesus explained. "I can take you there if you need proof." He volunteered.
"We'll get a vehicle ready for the trip, but you are staying here with around the clock supervision. I don't trust you." Rick told him before brushing past him and heading outside with Daryl following him.
I gave Jesus look before sliding past him, leaving him with Denise. Daryl was preparing the motor home for the journey to this community that Jesus was telling us about. I did believe him but I didn't know how far the truth went.
Carl insisted on staying back to look after Lacey and Judith while Glenn, Rick, Maggie, and me went to Hilltop. We were keeping a close eye on Jesus in case he tried anything. Rick, Michonne, Glenn, Maggie, Abraham and me got into the motor home and set off on the journey to the new community.
In the motor home, I was sat next to Abraham who was sat opposite Maggie and Glenn. They were cuddled into each other on the seats. "We have something we need to tell you." Glenn piped up.
"Okay, what is it?" Michonne asked turning around in her seat.
"I'm pregnant." Maggie told everyone. That caused a positive vibe to go around the motor home. All talking about the baby, giving their congratulations while Maggie and Glenn took the praise with huge genuine smiles.
Everyone broke off from the huge group and were in smaller groups still talking about Glenn and Maggie's pregnancy. Maggie had gone with Michonne, Rick, Daryl and Jesus. Glenn and I were with Abraham talking.
"I'm happy for you, I am. I just want to know if you know what you're doing." Abraham checked leaning forward.
"I do know what I'm doing. We both do. But we're trying to build something." Glenn explained. I could see where Abraham was coming from, he was very over everything and that was understandable. There so much that could go wrong with this pregnancy, like Lori.
"As long as you know what you're doing and you know how to protect her." He said before moving on to talk to Maggie.
"You know he's looking out for you and Maggie right?" I told him when I saw his rejected look.
"I know but I'm trying my hardest to make this work. I need to do this for Maggie, she deserves this." He said to me and I smiled sympathetically.
"You both deserve this and you'll both get it. You're happily ever after. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise." I after his thigh as the motor home came to a stop.
We were approaching an overturned car. "What happened here?" Glenn asked looking at Jesus with suspicion.
"This is one of ours." Jesus mumbled. We were all watching him wearily as Jesus exited the vehicle and began searching through all the wreckage.
Daryl stalked off without a word towards a building. "We need to find my people." Jesus said and walked fast towards where Daryl went.
"You all go in, I'll wait out here with Maggie and Jesus." I said grabbing Jesus' arm. I didn;t trust him going in there and turning on the rest of the group. I wanted to know if this was a trap or if it was genuine.
