I awakened very slowly, and attempted to stand.  Confusion came over me because I was somehow already in an upright position.  I reluctantly opened my eyes, and realized that I was tied to a cement pillar in the middle of the room, with the same itchy rope that I had been bound with in the van. I looked around the room. There was a door that I could see but it was latched. The entire room was constructed out of cement, and the windows had bars. I shouted for help loudly, but once again, none came.  Don walked in and snickered wildly at my painful misery. I saw no weapons on him but when I turned, that's when I saw the table. This table had a noose, a whip, a metal rod, and a thick board. Torture, I thought. He looked me right in my eyes, with his terrifying blue and black ones. He could see the fear in my eyes. Don was inches away from my pale face, and he smiled wickedly.  I saw all of his disgusting features.  He had crooked yellow teeth, with all types of food stuck in them.  Don's beard was very messy, and his breath smelled ghastly.  I was helplessly staring at him, and then I got the courage to speak.
"Who are you, and what do you want from me?" I shouted, with every ounce of valor I had left in me.
"Stupid girl, you are mine now.  I can do whatever I want with you.  I'm Don.  Don Jackson. "  He snickered once again.
Don was scaring me.  "You might as well get comfortable because  you're going to be here for quite a while," Don said smiling at me as he caressed my cheek and I pulled away. He started taunting me until we heard someone shout loudly.  It was a deep, caring voice which startled me.  I wondered if help had finally come.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing with her?" the person shouted.
"Absolutely none of your business," Don started. Although his voice was steady, his eyes showed that he was frightened.
"I don't think so!"
Out of nowhere, Luke came, quickly charging out from somewhere behind me and attempted to stab Don.  He cut Don's arm and the red, dark, thick liquid rapidly started dripping down his arm.  Don punched Luke in the gut, as Luke painfully winced.  I quietly watched the two brawl it out, knowing that I could do nothing to help the situation at all. Luke kept trying to kill Don with his knife, but it did not work.  He violently whacked Don in the head with the board that had been on the table, and Don flew across the floor.  Don was knocked out, so Luke cut me out of the ropes. When Luke had finished he threw the knife down. That was the worst decision of his life.
"Julia, I am so sorry I couldn't save you from this lunatic.  I am so sorry," Luke desperately said.
