5. Saving Midgard

"Jane, you have to leave", Thor says to the girl of Midgard standing next to him. "Nanna, you too."
"I can fight", you say, remembering the fighting lessons Odin and Frigga gave you when you were younger, and after that you started practicing with Thor and Loki. "I'm not going anywhere."
"What are you gonna do ?" Jane asks, looking at Thor worriedly.
"I'm staying here", Thor replies.
"Thor is gonna fight with us", Volstagg says. Thor walks up to him and places his hand on Volstagg's shoulder.
"My friends," he starts, "I'm just a man. I'd only get in your way or worse, get one of you killed. But I can help get these people into safety."
"Well, if you're staying, then so am I", Jane comes in and walks up to Thor.
"We'll need some time."
"You'll have it", Fandral says.

Thor and his friends on Midgard start evacuating the people, and even though Thor has asked you to help and get the people into safety instead of fighting, you didn't listen. You, Lady Sif and the warriors three walk up to the enemy that has come to Midgard, and as you walk closer, you see that it is the Destroyer that guards the weapon's vault on Asgard.
"Keep it distracted", Sif says and walks away. You and Volstagg, Fandral and Hogun walk up to the Destroyer. Volstagg tries to attack the Destroyer, but he fails. He gets thrown onto the ground and grunts in pain. The Destroyer comes closer to Volstagg, and is about to bring him to flames, when suddenly Sif comes. She swings her sword and pierces the Destroyer in its chest from behind. For a moment it seems as if it's beaten, but then it turns its head and tries to destroy Sif, who can barely manage to get away.
"Pull back !" Sif yells and you all do as she says. You run away, but the Destroyer attacks you and Sif and you two fall on the ground. The warriors three try to get to you, but the Destroyer destroys their path. They fall back into a shop. You groan as you lie on the ground, but Sif immediately helps you up, for the Destroyer is about to attack again.
"We have to go, we can't stay here", Sif says. You take her arm and stand up as quickly as you can. Volstagg, who is also wounded quite bad, gets help from Fandral and Hogun. Thor tells you all to pull back, and you do as he says. Everyone pulls back, except for Thor. You watch as he walks up to the Destroyer.
"Thor, no.." you whisper to yourself.
"What's he doing ?" You hear Jane ask. Everyone stares at Thor now. You cover your mouth with your hand, not knowing what's going to happen, but not being able to stop Thor because of the pain in your leg caused by the Destroyer. Thor talks to the Destroyer for a little, knowing that Loki will hear it. You smile as you watch the Destroyer turn around and walk away, but he quickly turns around and smashes Thor. He flies through the air and crashes hard on the ground.
"Thor, no !" You scream. You want to run up to him, but you can't. Instead of you, Jane runs up to Thor and kneels down beside him. You can see that he's gasping for air. Once you see Jane crying, you know what's going on. Tears stream down your face, and you've now covered your mouth with both your hands. Thor always tried to make you feel better, especially after the death of your parents, and now, you had lost him too, something that was too much for you to bear.

Only, the most unexpected thing ever happened then.

Thor gets his powers back, those that were taken from him as he was abandoned, and he lives. Happiness fills your entire body. You quickly wipe away your tears and watch Thor fighting the Destroyer with Mjolnir in his hand. He eventually beats the Destroyer, and walks up to you all again. He gives you a strong smile, and you smile back at him. Jane immediately comes closer to him, and you see that she's smiling also.
"We must go to the Bifrost side. I will have a word with my brother", Thor says.
"I'm coming with you to Loki", you immediately say. Thor nods quickly, then takes Jane and flies to the spot where the Bifrost had placed you earlier. You, Lady Sif, the warriors three and the two people of Midgard walk over to that place. As you arrive there, you see Thor yelling Heimdall's name, yet nothing's happening.
"He doesn't answer."
"Then we are stranded", Hogun says.
"Heimdall", Thor tries again. "If you can hear me, we need you now ! Heimdall !"

Finally something happens. You, Lady Sif and the warriors three walk over to the exact same spot where the Bifrost had put you earlier, but you notice that Thor isn't coming. He's saying goodbye to the people of Midgard. When he comes, the Bifrost takes you all back to Asgard.

"Get him to the healing room !" Thor yells as he sees Heimdall laying on the ground the moment you're back on Asgard. You stare at Heimdall, hoping he's okay, as Lady Sif and the warriors three help him to get up.
"Leave my brother to me", Thor says. He looks at Heimdall, then at you and nods, before both of you return to the palace.
