POV: Karson
I run out of the building and bolt towards our dorm house as the wind pushed against me. My veins pulsed with anger and adrenaline as I saw Christina run into the same building that Sunshine is in right now. My Sunshine.
I bolt towards the door and swing it open. I know how slow the elevator can potentially be, so I take the stairs, skipping steps due to my strides being too big for the half a foot steps.
As I turn the corner to the third flight I hear a scream, but not just any scream...
I rush the fourth flight and burst through the door before bolting to our room that just has to be on the other side of this big ass building and around the corner.
"Please no!" Sunshine screamed as I turned the last corner to the hall our room is on. My legs carry me to our dorm... and the door was open.
"Please stop! Karson!" Sunshine called for me from the bathroom.
"Stop crying, no one will hear you. They're all at the football game that the other high school is hosting, and Karson is too busy fighting to save your ass." Christina's voice hissed from the other side of the door.
"Open the damn door Christina!" I roared.
"No! This bitch needs to die!" She snapped back.
"Karson!" Sunshine cried out for me.
I kicked the door in and see Christina with a knife to Sunshine's throat.
"Put the knife down Christina." My voice let out a low growl.
"With her out of the picture, you'll have no choice but to love me instead." Christina shrugged as she dug the knife into a Sunshine's skin a little. I look at her body to see her covered in knife wounds that are pouring out blood.
"If you think killing her will make me love you, you're crazy." I snapped.
"You can't talk me out of this." Christina let out a sickening laugh.
I sweep kicked her feet and she fell backwards and I immediately grabbed Sunshine and pulled her behind me.
Sunshine latched onto me with all of the remaining energy she had as I picked her up and ran to the school's training hospital.
"Hang in there Sunshine. I've got you. Focus on me." I attempted to soothe her as I ran with her in my grasp.
"Okay, I love you." She gave me a weak smile before curling up into my arms.
"I love you too and you're gonna be okay." I said in a hushed tone before kissing her forehead.
My Sunshine.
"Apply pressure to the bad ones Sunshine so the bleeding will slow down."
She nodded before pressing hard on her stomach with all of the strength she had left in her.
I closed my eyes once tightly, wincing as I watch her press on her stomach.
"What would I do without you?" She said in between hiccups.
"Oh, that is a question I should be asking you. You are my Sunshine. The reason why I look forward to getting out of bed every morning. The reason why I wake up smiling. The reason why I know what love is." I replied. My heart spoke for me though.
"I love you." She whispered.
"I love you too Sunshine, more than anything." I replied before kissing her forehead once.
