Mike's P.O.V.

We'd been laying around all day, doing absolutely nothing. It was pure bliss. This was exactly what I wanted to be doing. If the guys hadn't dropped by and made everything weird, it would have been better, but I was over it. I looked over at the clock beside my bed. It was past 6:30.

"My mother works very late during the end of the week." Said (Y/N).

"Mine too." I replied.

That was good to know.

Stop that, Mike.

I looked over at her and she had her eyes closed. She's so pretty. I felt kind of guilty for always thinking of her like that. Of course she was smart and nice too, but sometimes I just couldn't get my brain in the right lane. Like right now. She's in my bed. Right next to me. I'm not supposed to get girls! I'm gonna do something wrong and ruin this.

Maybe I just need to calm down. Just calm down, Wheeler. Calm. Down.

After hearing it from her, I was comforted to know that I wasn't the only nervous one out of the two of us.

"Hey (Y/N)?"

"Yes, Mike?"

"How do you stop people from seeing that you're nervous?" I said in a shaky voice. Great start.

"Well..." She started, "I don't stutter, and I keep my back straight. But it doesn't always work. And now, I'm not going to try to hide stuff like that from you, so it doesn't even matter anymore."

I considered that for a moment. It didn't seem like there was much to it. Knowing that she wouldn't care about how nervous she acted in front of me anymore made me feel good. Damn, I wish she could stay here forever.

"(Y/N)!" I said, a little too loudly, preparing to present to her an idea.

"Yeh?" She asked.

"Do you, uh, wanna stay over tonight?" I asked, trying not to sound sheepish.

"Well I'd love to, but the thing is... My uh, mom doesn't know that I've been coming here." She confessed.

"Do you think she'd care?" I questioned.

"Yes." She said, not even having to think about it.

"Use our phone to call her." I offered.

"Oh, okay. Thanks" She said back.

We got up from my bed and sped down the stairs. I showed her to the phone and she dialed her mother's number.

"Hey Ma." She said. I couldn't hear what her mother was saying, but I assumed it wasn't too good, "Uh, I'm at a friends house. Well no - they're really nice! I just forgot to ask you. You weren't home anyways. Oh uh right, can I stay over their house tonight? Um, it's a boy, why does that matter? His name is Mike...?"

There was a pause.

"Is that because he's a boy? Because nothings going to happen and you know tha-" She broke her ear away from the phone, "Wow. She hung up on me."
