Anoooooooootha chapta

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

We stayed in Mike's basement for a little while, simply talking and nothing more. Me and Mike kept catching each other staring at one another. Almost five hours had gone by, and I surprisingly wasn't tired at all.

The entire room went quiet for a moment, as it did from time to time. Me and Mike made eye contact once again.

"Would you two just fuck already." Said Lucas, after he had observed us for a few seconds. Dustin and Will were very visibly holding back their laughter. "We all know you want to," Lucas teased.

I knew my face was red, and I didn't bother saying anything because I knew it would come out wrong. I looked over at Mike. He looked like he was trying to say something, but couldn't bring himself to do it.

"No one would fuck any of us, Lucas. Especially not Mike." Dustin said, releasing his laughter. Will started laughing too.

"I would!" I said, without realizing what I was doing. I had meant to say something along the lines of, Mike isn't that bad, but it definitely didn't come out right. "I mean -  wait. That is not what I meant-"

"Whoa, whoa. You've known us for less than three full days, tiger." Will said.

"No, not all of you! I meant Mike." I said, struggling to get my original point across. "Wait! Wait that's not what I meant either-"

Mike choked before I could even try to explain myself, and the rest of the boys began laughing vigorously. I put my hands on my face, trying to cover up as much of it as possible. I knew I was probably a shade of red that no one knew existed. I tried to look through my fingers at Mike. He was rubbing his upper arm, which I assumed had earned several punches.

"Mike, I can't believe that you're the first of us to get a girlfriend." Lucas chuckled, genuinely surprised. I dropped my hands from my face.

"We're not dating." Mike said in a small voice, like he didn't really want anyone to hear him. Lucas turned around and faced me, eyes narrowing. Oh god.

"(Y/N), will you... Be... Mike's... GIRLFRIEND?!" He yelled. Mike squeezed his eyes shut and shied away very slightly, as if he was waiting for someone to throw a brick at him.

"U-Uh, I don't... Know? I've only known him for like... less than three days? L-Like Will said..." I said. I didn't want to offend Mike, but I also didn't want to rush anything. Sure, I liked this kid more than I thought I ever could, but I didn't know what he was thinking. What if we weren't on the same page?

"Yeah but you guys kiss - like a lot. When you kiss, you date. It's easy math." Lucas said.

"How would you know that we've been kissing?" Mike asked, obviously confused.

"Mike, we know you. How could we not know that you're kissing her?" Lucas said.

"Oh, I think it's more than kissing-"

"Okay, okay, that's enough." Mike said, cutting off Dustin.

Everyone stopped talking and there were a few prolonged moments of agonizing silence. The boys looked like they were beginning space out, but I was deep in thought. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that three days was kind of a long time. Me and Mike had done a lot of bonding, and I thought that if we were both okay with it, it would be fine to date. Anyways, it's nothing serious. I was still scared to say something. I feared Mike's rejection, even though I knew that him saying no to me was an unlikely outcome. The moment was passing quickly though, so I had to do something.
