Soul's P.O.V

"That smell." She shook frantically. As if she was trying to fight the smell off of her. She shook so hard that she slipped right off the edge. I moved. My hand grabbed hers at the last second. Before she fell into oblivion. She didn't even scream, but her facial expression showed it all.

"I...got...you." I said. She grabbed a portion of the railing and with my help she was up on top of me. On the ground. We were panting. Her hands on top of my chest. Tears and sweat streaming down our faces. She trembled again. I sat myself up and held her. How else could I comfort her? She grabbed around my neck and sobbed into my shoulder. Her salty tears staining my shirt.

"It wasn't just the smell. Tell me. You know you can trust me."

"Everywhere I look I see him." My body froze, the Kishin Asura. Now is not the time to comfort yourself. Help her.

"Hey, he's gone now. You beat him Maka. You did. He can't hurt you. Not anymore."

We sat on the roof for the rest of the day. She was so tired from crying she fell asleep.

Maka's P.O.V

Asura. He was there. I saw his face in Steins.

I'm not insane, I'm not insane. There is no more madness.

Is there?

I'm battling Asura again. I feel his hand dig into my side. I scream. More tears come down. I don't stop screaming. I hit him as hard as I can. Again and again and again. He just laughs. I keep screaming. I'm dying. He twists his hand inside of me. I'm so close.

"Help me."

Soul's P.O.V

She screamed. I was just carrying her on my back home. Crona at my side, her scream echoed in my ear.

"Help me." she mumbled and screamed again.

"Maka. Wake up." I tried calmly.

She didn't

"Maka. WAKE UP." I yelled.

Crona shook her. She just kept mumbling, "Help me"

"Damn it. Crona, get some water from my pack." He tore through it. And found the bottle. I snatched it away and dumped it over her face.

She woke up, sputtering water.

"What was that for?!" She yelled.

"You wouldn't wake up!" Crona and I said in unison.

"What?"

"You were sleeping and you just screamed and we tried waking you up. But you just wouldn't and I don't know how to handle that. You scared us Maka, don't do it again." Crona said.

I pulled her to her feet. She was terrified.

"Come on, we're almost home." I let her lean on me the whole way home.

it was 6:00 before Crona finished with food. Ragnorak was yelling directions at him. Maka was lying on the couch. Crona and I agreed to keep watch over her for the next week. See if anything else would happen. I woke her up.

"Time to eat."

It was a semi quiet dinner. Besides Ragnorak eating like a slob. Blair was gone. She was working at Chuba Cabra's or something like that. I watched Maka all the time. Pushing her food around and taking little nibbles of everything.

Tsubaki called.

"Hey Soul, How's Maka?"

"She's doing alright. I think. I'll call you later. We're eating right now."

"Oops! Sorry! Don't bother calling we'll see you tomorrow! Bye!"

"Bye."

Maka get's up to take a shower.

I clean up.

Maka's P.O.V

I grab some pajama's and head to the shower. I take off everything and step into the hot water. I feel like I'm being scrubbed clean of all wrong doings. I get out and dry myself. I look in the mirror, on the right side of my body a scar remains from Asura's touch.
