Jack's P.O.V.

I had been with my best friend, Rian, all weekend. We haven't had those since I switched schools 2 years ago. Now that I'm back at Cactus, it doesn't matter when I come home as long as I do at some point, and I check in. Things are finally back to normal in Jack land, and it felt fucking great to have Jack and Rian time all time again.

And now, it was Monday, which meant my first day back at the school I dreaded most. But I have Rian by my side, so it's not like anybody could hurt me. He told me he'd gotten pretty popular over the years, so I guess I would be too. Though popularity never really mattered at this school. You really only got into fights with people if they pissed you off. And trust me, since we started having someone from the Glendale Police act as one of our security guards, I think fights have reduced in school, but out of school, oh boy. There were too many of them to count. And they'd go to the same park to do it, too. It was down the road, Kings Park. Now, in Glendale, there are two parks called Kings. The one down the road from my high school, and the one behind my junior high/elementary school, Canyon.

Rian told me that last semester, two girls got into a fight in 3rd period lunch, and one of them got arrested by the cop patrolling the campus. He said as the girl was being taken to the station, she looked back with and evil smirk. Well, I guess the girl she beat the shit out of probably deserved it, then.

Anyway, I finished getting ready whilst Rian was eating something. "Took you long enough," he said with a mouth full of pop tart. "Let's go."

We left his house and headed to school. Rian parked in the front lot today because of me, he took me to guidance and I got my schedule. Surprisingly (but thankfully), I got his exact same schedule. It surprised us both because Rian's pretty smart, and I'm, well, not. But it was thrilling to know we were in all the same classes. So once I got my schedule, we headed to out first hour class, physics.

It felt like it was taking foreverfor the bell to ring. I just wanted to get to my second hour class. Music. Perfect.

Finally, the bell rang. "Finally!" I shouted when I caught up to Rian. He laughed, and he walked us to our next class. When we walked in, the first person I saw was the teacher. He looked like a mess, but, damn, he was hot. Hewasonfire. "Hey, Ri, who's that?" I asked, pointing to the broken man, who was clearly the teacher.

"That's Mr. Gaskarth, the teacher," he said. "I wonder what happened to him over the weekend. He told me he was going to propose to his boyfriend. I'm guessing that didn't happen. Let's go talk to him."

"Okay." I replied as we started walking towards Mr. Gaskarth.

"Hey Mr. Gaskarth," Rian said as the man looked up. His eyes were puffy and red, he was crying. I gave him a sad look. "Are you okay? You look horrible."

Mr. Gaskarth put his head down and shook his head, his breathe became hitched, which told me he was about to cry again. "N-No, R-Rian," he replied. "I'm not o-okay. Cody cheated."

"He did?" Rian gasped like he was surprised Mr. Gaskarth's ex did it. Mr. Gaskarth nodded.

"Yeah," Mr. Gaskarth replied. "I should've known. I shouldn't have fallen in love with him, he did the same thing to Vic, why did I think he'd be any different with me?" Rian shrugged, whispering "Touche" under his breath.

Wait...Cody? And Vic? Vic Fuentes? No, he can't be talking about Rian's brother? I looked at Rian and mouthed "Your brother?", he nodded in reply. How and why the fuck would Cody cheat on this hot piece of ass? I didn't understand that asshat sometimes.

"Excuse me for butting in on this, I know this isn't my place to talk," I said. "But how could somebody so heartless as Rian's brother cheat on such a catch as yourself?"

"Excuse me?" he asked. "Who are you?"

"Jack Barakat," I replied. "Your new student. Like I said before, how could somebody let themselves cheat on you? I mean, fuck, you're hot. Even when you're eyes are puffy and red." Mr. Gaskarth blushed. Wait.. he blushed?

"I'm gonna go sit down." Rian said.

"Language, Mr. Barakat," Mr. Gaskarth told me. "And thank you for that. You really know how to charm a guy when he's down. And may I say, you're not so bad yourself. Now go sit down, Jack."

I smirked, "No problem, glad I could make you feel a little better," I said as I walked to Rian, but stopping and going back to the hottest teacher I've ever seen. "By the way, to make you feel even better, I meant it. Everything I said." I looked straight into his eyes to show my sincerity, but also to show the lust I have for him. I smirked before walking away. Everyone was staring at me as I walked towards Rian and sat down next to him.

"Jack," he said. "Did you just almost seduce Mr. Gaskarth?"

I grinned. "Yeah, what's your point?"

"Why?"

"Because he needed some cheering up, I needed satisfaction, and lastly, he's fucking sexy. The question is who wouldn't try seducing him?"  I responded.

"Classic Jack," he laughed.

I think dreading this class period is going to be the least of my worries.
