Chapter 2

*Blaise POV*

Luna and I had been 'watching' Draco's children after he had rushed out this morning muttering something about an emergency. 

That had been two hours ago, where was he? I thought angrily, it wasn't as if Luna and I didn't have anything better to do.

Technically, we really didn't have to do anything. They stayed upstairs, and we stayed down here, doing nothing. Still, we could be doing nothing... somewhere else. 

I was bitching about nothing. I just wanted an explanation, why had he left in such a hurry, looking worried.

I do not love not being told stuff, especially when it concerned my best mate. 

Finally, he returned with Hermione quickly letting go of his arm, after they apparated. That was weird, what happened, did they have a fight?

¨Where the hell have you been?!¨

¨It's complicated,¨ Draco sighed.

¨That is not a response.¨

¨Malfoy here, says that I apparently love him, married him 13 years ago, and had two kids with him,¨ Hermione said. 

What? It's probably a joke. Luna obviously thought so too, because we both burst out laughing. Draco widened his eyes, and Hermione looked relieved.

¨You think this is funny?!¨ Draco yelled just as Hermione shouted

¨So, it's not true?!¨ 

Luna and I stopped laughing abruptly, was this not a joke?

¨What the fuck is happening right now?!¨

¨Hermione apparently has no recollection of being married to me.¨ I gasped, so did Luna.

¨So she doesn't remember...¨

¨No, she doesn't remember Rachel and Scorpius,¨ Draco stated sadly.

¨I can't believe this!¨ At the mention of their names, Draco and Hermione's children came rushing down the stairs, their little 10-year old hearts thumping to stand before their mother and father.

*Scorpius POV*

When Rachel and I came downstairs, daddy was almost crying and mommy looked sad too. 

I ran and gave her a hug. 

She stiffened and held back, instead of hugging me back like she usually would. That hurt, what was wrong?

Daddy whispered something in mommy's ear, and she nodded. 

¨Honey, I'm sorry, but I'm not feeling so well, and I don't want you to get sick.¨

¨Do you have to go to the doctor's office?¨ Rachel asked.

¨No, Rose, I'm not that sick.¨ Rose? Did mom just call Rachel, Rose?

¨Rachel.¨

¨I know, I'm just checking that you were paying attention!¨ Mom blushes very redly, which means she I lying, but she seems tired so I think we should leave her alone for now.

I grabbed Rachels arm, and we ran back upstairs.

*Draco POV*

As our children came down the stairs, Scorpius ran to give Hermione a hug. She stiffened and Scorpius backed away looking confused, I whispered in Hermione's ear,

¨You have to act like you remember being their mother for their sake.¨ She nodded. 

She and Scorpius and Rachel had a conversation, in which Hermione 'tested' them by forgetting Rachels name, then she blushed bright red. 

I could tell that Scorpius knew she was lying, our children were very smart. Scorpius took Rachels arm and they went back upstairs.

¨Well that was close,¨ Hermione said.

¨Hermione, our children are much smarter than you think, remember, their parents were the two smartest students at Hogwarts. They no doubt realized that you turned pink, and are therefore lying. You better start coming up with a more convincing story later. I don't think we should tell them about what happened.¨

¨I agree.¨

¨So, what is your plan to fix this?¨ Blaise asked. Luna waved her arms above her head. At our looks of confusion, she said,

¨Im waving away Blibbering Humdingers, they'll try to stop you from thinking correctly. Your house is full of them!¨

¨Oh.¨ Blaise looked at his wife fondly.

¨What I think you guys should do is go on a date, try to rekindle something. Luna and I will do some research.¨

¨Well, I guess its worth a try,¨ Hermione said hesitantly. I tried to turn it into a joke,

¨Hermione Granger, will you go out with me?¨ She giggled, how I missed her laughter!

¨Why, of course,¨ she answered. 

¨Ok, how about tomorrow night?¨

¨Why not tonight?¨ Luna and Blaise looked at her strangely, before remembering she didn't know what tonight was.

¨Well, we're going to the Burrow tonight.¨

¨Why?¨

¨Its my birthday.¨

¨Oh, I'm so sorry!¨

¨Its alright, you didn't know,¨ I said sadly.

¨Do you think we should tell them?¨

¨The adults, yes.¨

¨Wont Scorpius and Rachel hear?¨

¨No, usually, when we go to the Weasleys, they go and play with James, Albus, Lily, and Layla.¨

¨Whose kids are whose?¨

¨Layla is ours,¨ Blaise said.

¨The others are Harry and Ginny's.¨

¨Didnt Ron have any kids?¨

¨Yes, he had twins, but after he married Pansy, he moved to America.¨

¨HE MARRIED PANSY AND MOVED TO AMERICA?!¨

¨Um, yes?¨

¨What the hell happened to everything?!¨
