As the snow falls down, it accumulates with the rest of the fallen white specks that are in the cold ground, just like pain. But a little later, the sun comes out to melt that all away...a spring day.

"N-no please stay.." my voice cracked in mid-sentence. My heart started to race once I realized my grip was getting tight around her wrist, I could feel my cheeks burn up slowly. I looked at her from her feet all the way to her scared eyes. Luckily, she couldn't see me. It was dark because of the blackout. I was the only one holding the light. I couldn't get my hand off of her, as if, my body was acting on its own. My throat suddenly came dry once I remembered what I said.
"W-why?" A panic tone escaped her lips. Her voice echoing in the empty house.
"I mean, something can happen to you while you are out there. It's dark and you can't go out there alone." I said half lying. I didn't want to admit that I wanted her to stay a little longer. Something about her being here, it made me feel something in me, something I couldn't exactly point to.
"Ahh, so I think I'll stay here for the night. Again?" She turned to face me as her other hand tried to find her own phone. But she didn't try to remove my grasp. I could feel her heartbeat rising on the tips of my fingers.
Is she scared?
"If you want. You could sleep in the extra or guest room in the house. It's located upstairs." I tried to let go of her hand but it seemed if my hand was stuck with her smooth warm hand. I tried to hide my fidgeting fingers on my phone.
"I don't want to be a bother. Besides it's like a 5-10 minute walk to my house." She bit her lip and gently pulled away.
"It's ok. You're not a bother. I don't want you to get hurt out there. It's better if you stay here." My hand missed the warmth she carried and I started to shiver a bit.
"O-ok. Umm, I'll stay upstairs. But in the meantime, we should do something. The heater isn't working and I'm getting a bit cold." She shivered as she rubbed her arms to be able to make friction. My eyes never left her figure. She just looked so calm at the same time uncomfortable. I've never met someone like her before.
Beep beep.
I looked down at my phone it showed 20% of battery left.
"Shit." I murmured as Lisa looked at my phone as well. It's the only power source I have right now. Another sudden light flashed at my face. I groaned a bit and looked at Lisa that had her flashlight turned on.
"Umm, we should get another light source and some blankets if you don't mind." She smiled sheepishly. Some pink color was appearing on her cheeks making her look...cute.
"Yeah. The blankets are upstairs. I think I have a lantern up there too." I responded as I carefully took her phone to lead the way to the room. Some creaking noises would come out of the old wood we walked on. I turned the doorknob slowly leading with more squeaky noises. It's been a long time I have been up here. The room was bigger than my own. It was a little spacious but enough for both of us and maybe another person to play around...not that I was going to goof off.
"I think the lantern is in that drawer." I pointed and she nodded.
She doesn't talk much, does she?
I looked for the blankets for her to warm up. I thought that by now I was used to the cold but I even got goosebumps and that surprised me. I opened the drawer to find a big blue blanket.
