Elena was shaking with fear, not wanting to look up.
"Elena, I'm home! Sorry, I had to do an extra shift- Oh my God!" Ella cried out. The blonde thought the clown was going to kill her mother now. She'd die with her monster of a mother. But when she looked up, the clown wasn't there and her mother was gasping at the sight of her daughter collapsed on the floor, not the clown. "What happened? Get off the ground you silly girl!".
Elena's jaw quivered. She helped herself up and her whole body was relieved again. The clown was gone..she thought he was gone anyway.
"T-T-The blood.." She whispered, pointing at the sink. Her mother frowned.
"Blood?" She questioned. "What blood?" Ella placed her bag on the kitchen table and paced over to where her daughter was standing. No blood anywhere to be seen.
Elena looked down at her hands and noticed the blood was gone off them too, as if it'd never been there. As if she imagined the whole thing.
"C-C-Clown.." Elena managed to spit out. "The clown..".
"Blood? Clown? Elena I hope you aren't on drugs," Her mother chuckled but Elena didn't laugh which made Ella stop laughing and stared at her. "You aren't on drugs...right?" She asked, uncertainly.
"No, no," Elena shook her head, sweat dripping from her head. "No dr-drugs," The poor girl could barely speak, she was in a state of so much shock and fear. Fear was everywhere.
"Okay..I think I best get you to bed early. You look very tired, darling," Ella felt her daughters forehead for a fever. "Oh..you're very sweaty too. It must be quite hot out, is it?".
Elena realized that there was no point in trying to convince her mother that the sink poured blood and that a clown basically tried to eat her. "Yes..Very hot," She lied, nodding.
"Go have a nap on the couch," She gestured her head towards the living room. Elena slowly made her way to the couch and threw herself on it letting out a huge sigh as she did so.
"Am I going insane?" She whispered to herself and started thinking about hearing Georgie's voice yesterday. Was that real? Was any of this shit real?
She didn't know. But it was just then, she realized how tired she really was. Elena peacefully drifted off to sleep. She didn't know it then, but this would be one of the last peaceful sleeps she would ever experience.

Elena woke up around 2 hours later to eat. She was still exhausted so she decided to go straight to bed after. She planned to join the rest of the losers club at the quarry tomorrow morning.
The following morning, she woke up at 8:30am. Her mother was still sleeping so she tried getting ready as best she could.
Elena threw on her button up shirt and denim shorts. She put on her white converse, not bothering to tie the laces.
