Chapter Eleven:The New World Part One

~Two Weeks Later~

I walked inside the infirmary and see Denise talking to Tara I smile at her and she returns it we had lost Noah and almost glenn and Tara went into a short coma after hitting her head on a cement floor and Tara has a little crush on Denise which I find very cute and sweet and we stumbled onto a quarry filled with thousands of walkers and we tried to lead them away today and something in my gut is saying something is wrong we had lost Pete by rick because he killed Deanna's husband reg and I had wanted to help them but rick shot me down immediately said I needed to be on watch as one of the snipers and he called me a damsel but my brother was with daryl,sasha and Abraham.

My mom and family was here and he called me a damsel in distress which I was about to kill him when he called me that but then he sent me the all time grimes stare down and I dropped it and I am making my way there to my post and I see tam waiting on me up there I smile at him he bumped my shoulder and I see the buildup by the walls wasn't alot but enough to wipe out a town which I did not stomach it well and tam asks "you okay kid?".

I grip my sniper rifle in my hand "I just have a bad feeling" his eyes look at me confusedly and I ask "you remember when you told me that if my gut didn't like the situation and if it told me to not do anything follow that gut that its trying to tell you something?" he nodds and I bite my lower lip and look at him "my gut is telling me that something bad is gonna happen".

I see the worry in his eyes "yer gut feelings are usually right braelee the only thing we can do is if something bad happens face it head on you've grown to be such a strong and independent woman and i'm glad to see it" I smile and nodd "thanks daddy" I hug him he kisses my forehead but then we are broken by a voice to familiar "open the gate" I look through my scope and see rick running through the streets and I scream "Spencer open the gate it's rick".

I jump up off my post tam right behind me and when the gate's open I see blood and dirt all over his face and I see him trip over a walker I run out and tam screams for me I see rick screaming at me I scream "cover me dad" I feel the walkers surround me they drop behind me and I take out my sniper rifle and take aim behind rick and I grab his hand and we run towards the gates and rick screams "are you crazy brae you could have died and for what i'm not worth it".

I slap his shoulder "shut it rick just show a token of gratitude damsel in distress my ass" he smirks and we start walking and we see a bunch of green balloons floating in the sky and maggie runs out and she gasps "it's glenn that's his sign" then the church tower fell and crashed down onto the wall I gasp as I take off towards my house towards moma and I scream "mom braelyn dad come on we gotta go".

Mom runs out and see my face and she see's the wall I grab braelyn and carl covers me from the walkers mom and dad run behind me following me to Jessie's house I see father Gabriel running as well and she screams "braelee come on hurry".

I run across the road as carl covers me and so does Ron we make it inside braelyn is clutching onto me for dear life and the walkers break down the doors and we barricade the stairs with a couch and I look at mom and see her fear stricken face I grab her and hug her "mom it's gonna be fine I've been teaching you how to defend yerself it's gonna be fine".

She nodds so does dad braelyn goes straight to mom and I go to rick and see him laying Deanna onto the bed and I check her and I see a bite mark on her side and I see rick's face at the door and Deanna says "well shit" I grab her hand carl puts Judith into a pack and play and me and michonne drag up to walkers upstairs and he says "we're gonna cover ourselves in there scent they won't no the difference I've done it before".

I nodd at mom and dad and I see Jessie have a disgusted look on her face I rip the sheets and we cover ourselves braelyn wouldn't let anyone but me touch her and I say "baby we gotta smell like them okay? just don't get this in yer eyes okay?" she nodds and I put it on her sheet mom was helping me and I say "rick we're ready".
