We are humans because we
Feel and
We think.
Look at a baby,
Is it not a human?
It feels,
Maybe not love or loss,
Nor joy,
But yearning to be held
To learn,
For its mother and father
For attention and love.
The human mind,
Forms thoughts that give us life.
Thinking gives us our humanity,
It separates us from the apes
By allowing us to feel the deepest sorrows
And love that's overwhelming
And joy unspeakable.
To feel is to be alive,
To think is to be living,
So I will dream
To keep breathing.
Let us think and feel.
Let us be human.
