The halls were crowded with people, and the chaos was so perfect, like a movie. There was the couple that was always making out on the left side of the hall, and about ten feet farther down, the cliquey girls. Opposite them, the cliquey jocks, and between them, the parade of band geeks with their huge instrument cases. There were the aerospace tech kids who never did anything but make paper airplanes and the fashion kids that wheeled mannequins and clothing racks down the halls. And then there was the campus's hottest new couple, that sent the halls ablaze.
Buzz of Kimie's unavailability spread through every lecture hall, classroom, and lab. And to whom, only made the gossip even juicier, track star Zane Dred. Around campus, she was known not only for her track abilities but her dashing beauty unspoken confidence with a single glance. Tamsin could smell the mixture of ash and roses around the hall heading her way. Her teeth grinded at the thought of seeing them together.
Sophia stood in the hallway watching everyone walk by till she spotted who she wanted to talk with. "Hello, Kimie and wow who is this nice thang?" She purred as she looked Zane up and down clearly checking her out with no shame whatsoever.
"Sophia, she is mine!" Kimie growled in a soft tone only those near her would hear.
"Girlfriend you're as scary as a wet cat, I have more spunk than you do!" Sophia snapped her fingers and looked sharply at Kimie who just laughed at her friend with a smile.
"Where you been?" Kimie asked as she hugged her friend and looked back at Zane. "This spitfire is my friend Sophia and she's cool, one of us so to speak," she added with a smile.
"I was out of town with my pops, he needed a hand making something big... go away," Sophia said as if it was nothing at all, "What would you and your friend say I smell like?" Sophia asked
"Wild Raspberries," Kimie said and smirked.
"Fine, least it's not like stinkweed or something gross," she added and looked at Zane. "So she's taken, really?" she asked as her eyes undressed Zane. "You know once you go mage you never want anything else!" She purred as she leaned into Kimie.

"I could say the same thing about Kim," Zane said, rather uninterested in her.
"Umm now I know you're a keeper, keep my girl happy and I'll love ya!" Sophia said with a smirk as she turned around to look down the hall. "So girl's we having fun tonight?" she asked as she looked a Kimie.
Kimie looked from Sophia to Zane and gave Zane a helpless look. "Umm,"
Sophia just glanced back at Zane. "Honey, you'll be the one making all her plans from now on, just get used to it," she said with a knowing smirk.
"Are you messing with Kimie again Sophia?" Tamsin asked as she walked up to her and grabbed her hip.
"Shit! Tamsin! You scared me!" Sophia looked hard at her and shook her head. "Hell no, just some friendly teasing is all," she said.
