Vicky had smacked on a pair of orange, thigh-high boots that immediately became a second skin upon her release of the hem. Her shorts rested loosely on her waist and was strapped tightly to her by a black leather belt, while the fishnet stockings underneath itched annoyingly. The not-so-famous top she had mentioned to Johnny, showed a metallic fabric forming the design of skeleton hands as if they were grasping her breasts. It was, for her at least, the perfect Halloween costume. She knew well that it was going to be different from everyone else's, and she was going to flaunt exactly how proud of it she was, no matter what.

As she nearly finished the bottle of hairspray, that was a full ten minutes ago, the door to her bedroom echoed a knocking sound over the low-volumed rock music that played.

"Victoria?" A soft voice sounded from the other side.

"It's unlocked, Mama." The girl spoke loudly from her bathroom, quickly attempting to put out her lit cigarette and throw it through the open window.

The older woman entered her daughter's colorful room.

Dim yellow lights illuminated the bedroom completely; shining from the ceiling was a white, feathered chandelier, and supporting it's beam was a bright, thin light that outlined a pair of seductive red lips on the wall. The girl's bedhead was of a rose pink satin that's base frame cascaded down the side of the pillow area in a baroque-design while the base, that rested on the wall, was of a cushioned material with false gems at each point of the diamond pattern.

The bedsheets were sprawled out in what looked like a neatly-made mess, and movie posters, such as Jaws and Halloween, slightly overlapped each other in the corner, hanging over a bright red, cushioned chair. A white vanity sat on the other side of the room from the chair and the bathroom; the closet hiding behind a wooden door next to it.

"Victoria," the woman sighed, walking into the girl's bathroom with a clearly unamused expression. "I'm leaving for my date now. Make sure Eddie meets up with his friends and then you can go to that party."

Vicky set down her hairspray and grinned, pulling out bubblegum from the pack in her pocket and popping it in her mouth.

"I will, Mom — love you." She said with a grin that almost seemed forced.

"I love you, too."

The woman, that was all dressed up in a bright red dinner dress with shoulder pads, kissed her daughter's forehead and said her goodbyes before leaving the room.

"Eddie!" Vicky shouted as she walked over to her bedroom door.

The boy opened his room door that was decorated with "Do Not Enter" signs, from down the hall. "What?"

"Are you ready? I'm dropping you off with your friends."

"... why? Can't I ride there?"

Vicky gave the boy a look of idiocy before asking him a rhetorical question, that he really didn't understand was rhetorical. "Do you want what happened to Will to happen to you?"
