The Keeper Of Nevermore
Samantha Moon

I sat in my personal office, I used this space mainly for potion making. My mother was amazing at it, however with her absence I didn't get a chance to learn much about potion making before she passed away.

I got a knock on my door.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Ma'am, uh, we request your presence at the meeting hall"

I stood up from my chair and called out to the person speaking on the other side of the door.

"What is this one about?" I asked, I was honestly angry that this is interrupting my potion making, I've been trying to replicate my mother's potion for years, she created a potion that lasts forever, it's quite dangerous if fallen into the wrong hands, however just a drop of it mixed with another potion would make that potions effects last for as long as the receiver of the potion should live.

It's probably why I've been getting none stop requests for meetings or straight up attack attempts by Tony Blade and his menacing kingdom known as "the Burrows", after they killed my Mother they were hoping to get the potion, little did they know that my mother gave it to her innocent baby daughter.

"Team B brought back, um, a man, a outsider man." The woman spoke from the other side of the door.

I was confused, and shook my head angrily as I changed into my dress uniform. I couldn't let my people see me in a public meeting in my potion crafting attire.

After I finished changing, I grabbed my sword and placed it in my hoslter. I opened the door and stood face to face with the woman who spoke to me through the door, I recognized her as Emma, one of my apprentices.

"Ma'am, are you ready for the meeting?" Emma asked.

I nodded and we began to walk towards the meeting hall.

"Who is this man?" I asked.

Emma shrugged.

"I wasn't told much about who he is, just that it's urgent, and it required your attention the moment they returned, which was maybe five minutes ago." We approched a door, Emma grabbed the door and held it open as I walked through.

"Team B you said?" I asked.

"Yes Ma'am" Emma spoke.

Team B was led by Thalia, who was one of my highest ranking members of Nevermore and one of my closest friends. If she thought it was this serious then it must have been.

We entered the meeting hall which was a large opening in the trees, about hundred members of the Nevermore colany we're gathered here, and with a large opening at it's center stood Thaila, she stood over a man who was still unconscious.

I approached Thalia and she could tell I was pissed. As I got closer I drew my sword and placed it agasint the mans thorat. The man had long blonde hair and wore a cloth gold and green button up shirt and blue jeans.

"Why?" I asked Thalia in rage.

My mother never allowed outsiders to walk past the bountrys of the forests let alone be brought safely to our stronghold.

Thalia spoke with a firm and respectful tone.

"We found him at the mutant temple, you need to speak with him" Thaila raised her hands and took a step towards me.

"What gives him the right! That temple means nothing, everyone who went in there has died, and even if he survived he shouldn't be here, outsiders aren't allowed" I spoke angerily to Thalia.
