Chapter Fourteen

The Formation Pt.1

"Alright everyone, we've been over this plan almost ten times now so everyone should know what they're doing, we need to provide a distraction so Jack and his team can break into the kingdom and get the King out safely, once he's done that you provide passage for me, Andrew, Ace and Daniel into the kingdom to join Jack and his team to finish this" I yelled to my large group of armed street fighters who we called soldiers.

I jumped down from the large metal keg that I was standing on.

Daniel walked over to me.

"Will this be enough?" he asked.

"God damn it Daniel I hope so" I spoke taking a deep breath and walking over to the corner of the room where Tyler, Ace and Andrew stood.

Tyler shook my hand.

"Good speech" He spoke.

"Not really a speech, it was more like me making sure everyone knew what the hell they were doing" I spoke.

"It's time" Andrew spoke breathing heavily, getting up from his chair and walking towards the door, many of the other street fighters all started piling out of the large meeting room.

"Is Jack already inside the kingdom?" Tyler asked.

"Hes running behind Schedule but yeah, him, Sam and Izzy should just be preparing to enter." I spoke standing up and grabbing my rifle off the table.

"Let's kick some ass" I heard Ace speak from behind me.

We piled out and I got onto the back of my truck, Daniel was driving, Andrew rode shotgun and Ace, actually Ace was just preparing his rocket feet things to follow from the skies.

Tyler stayed behind, he wasn't going to be involved in this fight, the guy already did more then enough when he loaded us up with armour and weapons a few days ago.

We drove down the main road of Guardpost towards the Kingdom.

We were maybe a thousand meters away from the main gate, and the trucks began to slow down.

"Ace" I shouted after turning on my earpiece.

Suddenly Ace came down from the sky and fired the main gate with his arm cannon, turning it into dust.

I smacked the roof of the truck with my fist.

"Hit it Daniel!" I shouted.

Daniel slammed on the gas and we went flying into the kingdom, at this point the alarms were going off, as my men with the other trucks followed us in.

I grabbed my new fancy rifle and started unloading on the guards that began piling into the main courtyard that me and my men were parked in.

Gun fire was flying everywhere and I turned around to see a large group of soldiers trying to come up behind us, I aimed and pulled the trigger but my gun clicked, something must've jammed.

"Dammit" I shouted as the soldiers raised there guns in my direction.

the first guy to fire his gun instantly got a arrow to the head from Andrew, who now stood next to the truck holding his bow.

The bullet that was just fired at me bounced off a metal glove that Daniel was wearing which he used to block the bullet. The set of gloves he wore had large spiked knuckles, he was a hand to hand combat specialist after all. 

Before the rest of the guards could fire A large explosion turned them all to dust, and Ace landed in where they stood.

"Hold this line!" I yelled to my remaining soldiers, we were winning but not for much longer, we were just waiting on Jack.

I walked over to Ace.

"We need to head inside" I spoke.

Ace shook his head.

"Not possible, a large convoy is approaching from the way we came in, they have explosives according to Tyler's drones" Ace spoke activating his rocket feet again and taking off, probably to destroy the convoy.

I turned back towards the truck to see Daniel and Andrew standing next to me.

"We're heading inside" I spoke turning away from them and walking towards the locked front entrance to the castle.

I heard more gunfire start up back in the main courtyard, as it was likely the Burrows sent reinforcements, whatever it was Daniel's men could hold it long enough for us to take out Tony.

I aimed my Switch Rifle and fired, taking out the lock on the front door. I kicked the door open and was welcomed by two guards. I aimed my rifle at the left soldier and fired, before I could fire at the soldier to the right he already had a arrow through his skull.

I looked to my right and saw Andrew, loading a new arrow from his quiver.

"Daniel close the door behind us" I whispered crouching down and walking further into the hallway.

"Where to next" Andrew asked who was following me directly, while Daniel watched our ass as we slowly walking down the hallway.

"Jack and the others are heading towards the throne room, they are likely already there, the main goal is to get there and provide assistance to them in anyway possible, we just have to be slow and stealthy" I whispered as suddenly the entire wall was blown open and turned to ash by a plasma gun.

We all jumped to our feet and aimed our guns at the unknown enemy about to walk through the now open wall.

What walked through was a large mechanical beast, dammit.

We all lowered our weapons.

"I thought I said not to go inside?" Ace asked in a questioning voice.

"God damnit Ace! Alright forget stealth, Ace your with us let's move!" I ordered as we began running down the hallway.

Ace flew slightly above us in the hallway.

"Ace where's Jack?" I asked.

"He's close, but the fastest way is behind us" Ace yelled to us.

"Then let's make our own way!" I shouted back, about forty meters ahead was a group of half a dozen guards. I stopped running, as did Daniel and Andrew, as I charged my core.

I felt the lightning around my hands, as I fired.

large bolts of electricity were sent down the hallway, Ace barely managed to move out of the way before the lightning slammed into the chests of the soldiers, violently electrocuting all of them to death, or at least knocking them out.

I started running again, as did Daniel and Andrew.

"Remind me not to piss you off" Daniel mumbled.

As we approached the wall, I noticed Ace stopped at the dead end, looking at it, then back to me, as if he was waiting for permission to do something.

"Ace! Blow it open!" I shouted as we got closer.

Ace backed up and fired his plasma arm canon at the wall, turning a large chunk of it to dust allowing us to enter a staircase leading us upstairs.

Towards the throne room, and towards Jack Turner.

We're on our way Tony Blade.
