The Sorcerers
Jack TurnerJohn, Izzy and I rested in the forest on our way to the Sorcerer Village, we sat in one of the seven forests surrounding Guardpost.
It was dark, and we couldn't see far infront of us, not to mention that we were tired from traveling all day today already.
Monsters, grouls and other beasts are known to wander through these woods, yet none were stupid enough to pick a fight agasint me.
"We should only rest for a few hours, four or five at most" John spoke as I lit a pile of wood on fire using my core.
I sat down next to the fire and rubbed my hands together.
We each sat on opposite sides all facing eachother, this way we could see in all directions.
"So, these Sorcerers, are they dangerous?" Izzy asked.
I chuckled.
"I mean, yeah of course they are, they created the cores, nobody messes with them, except-" I choked on the rest of the sentence as the words were unable to come out.
I saw a fire, and I didn't mean the campfire infront of me, but I saw a huge bonfire, people screaming and running for there lives, then a woman stood over me and I remember feeling safe in her arms, but i knew this women wasn't my mother, I just felt it.
"Jack? You alright?" Izzy asked.
I shook the memory away, perhaps it wasn't a memory at all just a daydream.
"Yeah, what were we saying?" I asked.
"Your people, will they help us?" Izzy asked.
"Yeah, I mean, probably, Tony attacked the village when I was just a baby, it was the reason why I wasn't raised there. Tony killed, he killed my father during the attack"
"I'm sorry to hear that Jack" Izzy spoke.
"What about your Mom?" John asked.
"No idea, the Sorcerers wouldn't tell me, I'll find her one day, but for now I'm just trying to get revenge for what he did to my family, me and the people of the Sorcerer Village, not to mention all the other people he probably killed since then" I spoke looking into the fire.
"My Mom died too" John spoke.
This caught my attention, I looked up to face him, it seemed hard for him to put the words together.
"My mother was sick, very sick, and my father wasn't even there when she...when she...then she was just gone" John was keeping it together, he didn't seem to be teary eyed or anything, almost like the sadness was kept deep down.
I let him continue.
"My father was the general of the Guardpost Military, so he was never really around, he was a complete jackass" John whispered, still loud enough for Izzy and I to hear it.
"So you hate him then?" Izzy asked.
John shook his head.
"No, as a person yes, but he's a great leader I agree with his methods of being a military general, but I just think is family skills are shit"
After a few moments of slience, Izzy spoke up.
"My mother passed away when I was young too, the worst part was that she was pregnant with my baby brother, but he didn't make it."
Another few moments of slience.
"I know" John spoke to Izzy.
"What?" She asked.
