ft. Because I Didn't Say Goodbye? by Hatsune Miku
~Megurine Linatsuki's Point of View~
I got excited so I wanted to tell him sooner. So when I came in our room this morning,
"Really?! It's that high?!" said Oliver.
"Yeah! I asked Doctor Watane yesterday!" I said happily.
"Oh my.... I've never felt so happy in my life!"
As we both rejoiced, the nurse came in for his daily check-up.
After that, I went home. I got bored so I'll just clean the attic.
I pulled the string on the ceiling then the ladder came down. I climbed up.
I coughed and coughed because of the dust. I didn't know I left the attic like this: so dusty and smells so old. Well, it is an attic. I cleaned up some of the boxes above the shelves. One was so heavy, I fell down the ladder and hit my elbow hard.
"Ow! Ow, ow, ow, funny bone..." I said.
Ah, great. I made it messier than before. Hm? What are these? Picture frames?
The pictures in it are quite old and some are even torn.
It's a picture of.. kids? Who are they? How come I have these pictures in my attic? I can't really see it clearly. So I sprayed it with water then wiped it with the cloth.
*ding dong*
Oh! I wonder who that could be. I put down the frame I was cleaning then went to get the door.
"Miku-chan!"
"Lina-onee!"
She came to visit! And she brought over some sushi too!
"My parents went out on a date last night and thought that they'd give me sushi from the sushi spinner they went to. But turns out, they bought too much and now let's eat them together!" said Miku.
"Ahaha! This'll be my lunch now." I said.
We happily ate the sushi then after eating, we threw away the chopsticks.
"Oh yeah. Lina-onee, why do you look so dusty?" asked Miku.
"I was cleaning the attic. I accidentally dropped a heavy box and made it messier than before." I answered.
"Let me help you then!"
"Thanks, Miku-chan!"
And with that, we headed to the attic. Miku will clean the ceiling cause it's covered in spider webs and I'll keep cleaning the items in the boxes on the shelves.
Okay, back to what I was cleaning... There're so much pictures! Makes me so curious as to see who's in them.
Beside the box, I saw an old, dirty jewelry box. I picked it up then looked at it carefully. This must be the thing that weighs down on the box so much. Oh? But still not that heavy. I opened it and a soft, golden light, gleams and a tune plays.
It sounds so beautiful yet sad...
"Why aren't you gone? I know you're not that strong..."
For some reason, I feel like I know this song... What was it? I don't remember...
"Lina-onee? Is everything alright?" Miku called out to me but I ignored it. I got caught up in this sad, beautiful, tragic song...
My eyesight blurs, my head spins like a top, and the forceful migraine occur.
"AAAHHHH!!" I yell out loud as the pain keeps on coming.
