I tucked my hair into a messy pony tail. Grabbing my hoodie, I jogged out to meet Brice at the portal terminal. Yeah, I had spent only around 2 minutes, but I told Brice taking Gage to the Overworld might be good. Brice agreed right away, but then we had to convince Adam and Jason.

I was right. Gage's face looks a little better. He smiles like he's happy, not a maniac. I sipped on a smoothie outside of a small seaside cafe. For some reason, a 5ft 7in tall 15 year old girl doesn't bother anyone here. I probably should be a little worried but hey, at least I'm not hiding. "Danny, isn't Jaclyn and Nate on break?" Gage looked at me as I debated on the idea of sending my insane best friend to meet old friends. I sigh and walk with Gage to Jaclyn's dorm - I can't belive I still remember where it is.

Jaclyn is dragging Nate by the back of his shirt. Nate was ever so kind as to be asleep. At 1 pm. I think Jaclyn is mad, I mean, she is cursing at him and dragging him everywhere. Such a cute couple.

"Alright guys, I gotta get to the End, but I'll send a letter, sound good?"

I looked at Gage, and he just smiled. Brice agreed to stay with Gage until he seemed stable enough to stay by himself in the Overworld. I hugged them all and jumped onto the portal terminal, waving. I wonder what's happened while I was gone?

Yeah, a lot happened, according to the small talk. The King of the End came, and he looks a lot like me, according to small talk. I roll my eyes, I mean, there is no chance whats so ever of me being related to king of the end. Is there?

Gage's POV

Danny had to leave again, and I was really sad about it. She was going to send a letter, but that wasn't enough. She hugged me before she left, though. It felt so warm and inviting. She is different from all the other girls. I want to avoid most of them because they weird me out. Not her though. Her big, purple eyes were so captivating, I loved them. Sometimes, when I would start to miss my old life, my dad and home, she would wrap her wings around me and coo, often saying reassuring things. She emitted a warm, different aura about her which made me see through my stupid demented eyes a bit better, or at least see her in full, bright color. I couldn't deny it. I had a crush on her. Hopefully Jaclyn won't find out. If she does, it'll be in the newspapers for sure. I made my way to my bed and opened a case. Inside were tickets for a train ride to anywhere. I grabbed one and jumped out the window. I needed a break. After running to the station, I tossed my ticket to the man at the counter and jumped on a random train. Once we reached a stop when nobody was there or getting off, I exited. When the train left, I ran to the dense, rocky terrain. I stood on the top of a large boulder and took off my sunglasses. Then I felt the wave of emotions ripping through my body. I was going to let Lee take over, relieve some stress between us.

Lee's POV

Free at last! Gage was strong enough to hold me back, but now it was my turn to shine. I opened my eyes, making them go from dull gray to glowing gold. I felt my skin pale, and going from Gage's normally athletic figure to thin. I jumped from shadow to shadow, disappearing and reappearing over and over till I made it to a shrine. There I unleashed a golden burst of flame to ignite the candle inside it, revealing a cave entrance. I blew out the flame and ran inside. I passed walls with thousands of scratch marks and scorched areas. As the entrance closed, everything became dark, and my eyes glowed like a flashlight. I ran over to the darkest part of the cave, and started to practice. I would learn to summon mobs. I just needed time.
